Chatzilla is a firefox IRC plugin - this page is designed to tell you how to set it up.
Installation[ | ]
- If you haven't already - download and install the firefox web browser
- Then - go to the download page for chatzilla here
- In the unlikely event that the above site doesn't work (the only time it hasn't loaded for me is, ironically - when I'm writing this - go to the offical chatzilla site
- Allow the client to run and install if required.
- Restart firefox - congratulations - chatzilla is now installed.
Setup[ | ]

NOTE: By default - chatzilla uses your login name (the one you use to login to your operating system) as your chat name - if you do not want people to see this name type /nick <NEWNAME> before you connect.

- To connect to the Guildwiki channel - click here
- Chatzilla can also be accessed in firefox's tools --> chatzilla
- in this case - enter into the chat box of the bottom of chatzilla the following commands:
/attach irc.gamesurge.net- (after chatzilla has connected)
/join #gwiki
- in this case - enter into the chat box of the bottom of chatzilla the following commands:
- If you would like to connect to the channel at startup - right click the channel name tab and tick the box stating "open this channel at startup"
Preferences[ | ]
- To change the list of nicknames automaticly assigned to you - for example the default nickname - go to chatzilla --> preferences and then go to general settings. In the general settings tab - choose lists and then add names from there.
