- "Zaln the Jaded has been training White Mantle mages for years, passing on his expertise in the arcane arts and his utter disregard for collateral damage to all of his students. Removing Zaln the Jaded would be a great blow to the White Mantle's ability to train new forces. Gain passage to D'Alessio Seaboard from Jiaju Tai in Lion's Arch and teach this malevolent mentor a lesson in pain! Queen Salma will generously compensate those who undertake this challenge."
If you have already completed The Battle for Lion's Arch:

Until he was permanently removed from Tyria by bounty hunters, Zaln the Jaded was a great thorn in the side of the rebel movement. Recreate this historical scenario; gain passage to D'Alessio Seaboard from Jiaju Tai in Lion's Arch, and teach this malevolent mentor a lesson in pain! Those who successfully re-create this historical battle will earn the Queen's bounty!"
[edit] Walkthrough
Speak to Jiaju Tai in Lion's Arch to gain access to D'Alessio Seaboard. Upon entering the zone, head north, dispatching the White Mantle until you reach the point where Gate Guard Makala let you pass through in the mission. After defeating two more small groups of White Mantle, you will find Zaln's group, which will have one random Jade Construct with them.
Zaln has only anti-melee hex spells, so it is unwise to remove them for the sake of removing them. Consider hex removal skills that have an effect targeting foes, such as Smite Hex, Shatter Hex, or Hex Eater Vortex.
If any party member has Temple of the Intolerable active, there will be considerably fewer White Mantle to deal with. You will have to talk to Dinas to open the gate leading to Zaln, however.
