Finales

During each Wintersday finale (except 2005), Candy Cane Shards are used as betting currency in the Nine Rings game that decides the "winner" of Wintersday, Grenth or Dwayna.

Collectors

Summary:

  • 9 Candy Cane Shards can be traded for a primary Candy Cane Weapon;

Notes

  • The official Guild Wars website says that it's best to keep your candy cane shards until the finale to decide the Winner, Dwayna or Grenth.
Historical note Historical note: In early Wintersday events, there were two types of Shards: those that dropped from foes were salvageable; those that came from Wintersday Gifts were not. The two types did not stack
Historical note Historical note: At one time, weapons could be traded at one of the Candysmiths, and Shields and Focus, at Candysmith Marley.
