More sub-category by political affiliations?[]

Since we already have White Mantle and Bandits, should we also group the Ascalonians, Krytains (with Lionguard and White Mantle as sub cats) etc? I don't have a position on this issue yet, but thought it's an interesting question to ask. -PanSola 02:06, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

We had those in the past (and it is Ascalons not Ascalonians, much to my surprise/disgust). They were entirely too difficult to make accurate breaks as to who went where, and in general served no real purpose. --Rainith 11:43, 5 January 2006 (UTC)
Well we actually already have Bandits, Cult of Verata, Shining Blade, Lion Guard, and White Mantle. Seems Krytains (is that how it's spelled?) and Ascalons would add completeness and isn't really increasing the amount of things that serve no purpose. The ones that are hard to determine would either get no sub-category (if there is no obvious association at all, esp collectors and Jerrel the Tamer) or multiple sub-categories (such as spies or ones who might have changed affiliation).

What makes a Human a Human[]

They are fleshy creatures that can be affected by any condition,(for example, bleeding, disease, poison, blind, etc). They leave an exploitable corpse. Is there anything else that might single out Humans from other species?

I know some other species bleed (some Forgotten, Titan, etc) and all or all that I know of can be blinded.

Reason I ask this is there seems to be some debate on whether Maxine Coldstone and Harn Coldstone are human or not. If their species cannot be determined as Human I would like to test it. I was planning to use Rotting Flesh for disease, Virulence to test for poison, Soul Feast to test for exploitable corpse. signet of Agony/Plague Sending for bleeding. Not sure really what else to test for. --Gares Redstorm 00:36, 14 March 2006 (CST)

The easy (and only) test is to go up there with Edge of Extinction, and have a player sacrifice himself. If you see it coincide with damage to the enemy he's human. I've beeen meaning to try edge-bombing various collector's and NPCs to see if you can for example kill off the weaver of Nebo, but haven't had the time :P --Epinephrine 01:10, 14 March 2006 (CST)
So simple it just might work. :P I'll try that when I get off work then. I'd love to clasify all unknown species in the Bestiary. --Gares Redstorm 01:15, 14 March 2006 (CST)

Merge Humans to Human NPCs?[]

Just checking - is there a reason for having both categories Category:Humans and Category:Human NPCs, other than the huge effort to change the category tags? Just wondering if there's some distinction between the categories that I missed. Or is Human supposed to monster types (Am Fah, etc)? --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 14:04, 15 July 2006 (CDT)
