Unless anybody objects by Monday, I'll break this category down into:

Last chance to object. You've been warned. Going ahead tomorrow. :) --Tetris L 23:22, 27 February 2006 (CST)
Do it like you did the Collectable Drops (i.e. leave the items in Salvage Items and in your seperate stacking/non-stacking categories) as the category is hard coded into the template. Also I've heard complaints when people have to click more than once thru categories so if it is left in the main category also that may reduce that. --Rainith 00:14, 28 February 2006 (CST)
Three things:
  1. For several major categories we've made a concious decision to remove entries from the main category if they are in a sub-category. I think this is good decision that we should apply to ALL categories, throughout this wiki, so that we have tidy category trees.
  2. Provides we decide to apply this rule to this category it would be necessary to remove the category from the template and do the categories manually. I'd be willing to do that.
  3. I'd split up non-stacking salvage items even further, into light, medium and heavy.

Unique Salvage[edit source]

I've gotten some weird things I have never seen before farming the frozen chests. For example some off the top of my head, jage gorgets, jade pauldrons, phantasmal armors. Now I can theorize where most come from. Say the gorgets come from the Jade Armors, the pauldrons come from Jade Bows.

Should this unique items be added to the salvage lists if we can show proof? --Gares Redstorm 02:15, 28 February 2006 (CST)

I'd say add them, but don't put a guess as to where they came from, just put "Unknown". The only thing I've seen the Jade drop has been Mursaat Garments. --Rainith 02:17, 28 February 2006 (CST)
The Jade drop "Mursaat Garments" just as the Charr Stalker drops Axe fiend Armor, it's not what they specifically wear, it's that weird thing in the game that creatures can drop other armor from their species. That said, the Jade Armors and bows drop Jade Armor (Salvage Item). And that armor can salvage into hides/leather (if it's the bow's) or iron/steel (if it's the armor's). On the issue of the weird armors, they are either discontinued sets that used to drop from certain species in the game or sets that will drop from creatures in Factions. Unlocked chests seem to drop ANY item that could drop in the game, and ever since the trial of the Ritualist and Assassin, these chests have been dropping their loot too. So, apparently, that update has "installed" these drops into the game and now these unlocked chests have access to that pool. --Karlos 09:42, 28 February 2006 (CST)
