These are actually called Nightmares in most of the game except the Shiverpeaks. There is already Category:Nightmares. We need to move one to the other. (Though technically, Nightmares are necros and shadows are monks) --Karlos 22:24, 6 Sep 2005 (EST)

Heh, we had this discussion before. This is for the "shadow" mobs in the fissure. --Fyren 22:31, 6 Sep 2005 (EST)

Is there a monster called "Shadow" only? I want to put an NPC entry for Shadow of the Shining Blade, but this entry exists. My question is: Is this a real entry (i.e. should I put a disambiguation page between Shadow the NPC and Shadow the monsteR) or is this a fictional page (in which case I'll just replace it with Shadow's info)? --Karlos 19:10, 10 Aug 2005 (EST)

I don't remember ever seeing a monster called "Shadow" only. Shadow could be a category or a species, though (Azure Shadows, Swamp Nightmares, etc...). --Eightyfour-onesevenfive 20:34, 10 Aug 2005 (EST)

I guess we could just say the monsters are of species "nightmare," since early in the game there's just "nightmare" and "fog nightmare." Category:Shadow basically only has Azure Shadow in it. (What the hell is Shadow Ranger?) --Fyren 02:55, 11 Aug 2005 (EST)
Right, forgot about those. You can find Shadow Rangers in the Fissure of Woe, along with Shadow Monks, Mesmers, Warriors, Beasts etc... "Shadow" would probably be the right Species for those (I'd put the Azure Shadow with Nightmares). --Eightyfour-onesevenfive 03:12, 11 Aug 2005 (EST)
This is all good. So Category:Shadow could have all the Shadow army (i.e. Shadow Ranger and Shadow Monk) and then Category:Nightmare would have all the smokey ghosty things (Would the Shadow Beast be part of the shadow army or the nightmares? food for thought) and that would leave THIS article Shadow for me to talk about the sorry Shining Blade Ranger.. Right? :) --Karlos 06:20, 11 Aug 2005 (EST)
Shadow guys, hmm. I guess I'd know more about FoW if I could farm it solo like UW, heh. Well... some species have a page, like Tengu at least. I only know it exists because I converted it from Caromi, though. I'm not sure if there's supposed to species articles or not, but going with the "categories aren't articles" thing, any general stuff would go into a species article. I guess this needs discussion in the bestiary formatting talk. Back on topic, if there's going to be a "shadow" species article, Shadow should be a disambiguation page. --Fyren 07:04, 11 Aug 2005 (EST)

This should be called "Shadow Army" not "Shadows" nothing in the game calls them "Shadows." The Category should be Category:Shadow Army. If I hear no objections, i'll do that tomorrow. --Karlos 22:37, 6 Sep 2005 (EST)

Did you also have to move my promise to move it tomorrow 8 days ago? :) --Karlos 06:39, 15 Sep 2005 (EST)
Hehe, I just copied the whole talk page. Like to keep things complete. ;) --Eightyfour-onesevenfive 06:54, 15 Sep 2005 (EST)
