Description
A long sword with a serpentine blade emitting from the mouth of a horned skull that, combined with the spiked collar below it, serves as the crosspiece of the sword.
Location
- Dropped by Undead and Mandragor in Istan (Those dropped outside of Hard Mode will be non-max).
- Dropped in the Desolation and can also be found in Ancient Elonian Chests.
- Dropped in the Realm of Torment
- Dropped by Slave Spirits (only while the quest Destroy the Ungrateful Slaves is active)
Dye
This sword cannot be dyed.
Notes
- A possible area to farm these swords is to accept the quest Destroy the Ungrateful Slaves over and over (by not accepting the reward once the enemies are all killed). If done using a solo build, any dead sword wielded by the enemy spirits will drop for the player, although this is not always true. However, the quality of the drops from this quest have been greatly reduced since mid-March, 2007.
Trivia
The dead sword bears a great resemblance to the Soul Reaver sword which is wielded by the vampire Kain in the "Legacy of Kain" game series.
This sword also resembles the Solus' Greatsword found in the game Fable, and its expansion Fable: The Lost Chapters.
