This skill is most effective with quick cast monk spells that cost 5 energy such as Reversal of Fortune and Orison of Healing. The extra -2 Energy drain applies after the skill has finished activating. If the caster only has 5 energy, the spell will cast and the target will still gain the healing from Divine Boon.
The efficiency (the amount of HP generated per point of energy spent) of Divine Boon depends on the frequency of spell usage. Because of the initial cost of 5 energy, it furthermore depends on the length of time the enchantment is kept up.
The long term efficiency of Divine Boon depends highly on the caster's energy regeneration and the cost of each skill used to trigger Divine Boon.
