==General==
A [[Dolyak]] is a huge heavily-coated bovine animal with two pairs of horns on its head.  It is currently unknown whether ''Yak'' is an equivalent term for Dolyak, or if one is a subspecies of another, but [[Yak's Bend]] is apparently named after the dolyaks found in the area. 

Dolyaks serve as the basic farm animal for the [[Deldrimor Dwarves]]. They pull their wagons and [[ice ship]]s and provide them with meat, milk and clothing. They are domesticated and can be found lying around in several [[outpost]]s throughout the Shiverpeaks, such as [[Yak's Bend]] and [[Deldrimor War Camp]]. They are also found on a small island in the mountainous region of [[Wizard's Folly]] in [[Pre-Searing Ascalon]].

As far as is currently known, lone dolyaks are not capable of being targeted, and thus cannot be [[Charm Animal|Charmed]] into a pet.

Untargetable creatures resembling Dolyaks are found roaming [[Shing Jea Island]].

In the [[GW:EN]] expansion pack, untargetable immobile Dolyak NPCs are found within herds of [[Berserking Bison]], suggesting that the two are related (as they do share many physical characteristics) and may even interbreed.

==Stone Summit Dolyak-mounted Units==
[[Dolyak]]s are also used by the [[Stone Summit]]. They are covered in armor and used as war mounts by the following Stone Summit types:

* Spell-casters mounted on Dolyaks cannot be [[knockdown|knocked down]].

==Trivia==
* Dolyaks appear to be based on a combination of real world [[wikipedia:yak|yaks]] and [[wikipedia:goat|goats]], as well as the [[wikipedia:bantha|banthas]] of Star Wars.
