A game master is an in-game administrator (ArenaNet or NCsoft staff) who can interact with players in the game, make announcements, tag accounts with a warning account mark, suspend and ban accounts.
Messages from GMs appear in purple color in the chat. (Previously, before the March 2, 2006 update the color was green.)
