- For a short while, the Open Chest dialogue displayed "Use KeyCancel". When clicked the chest would open but the window would not be closed. Regardless of clicking "Use KeyCancel" or "Yes" you were only allowed to open the chest once. This change has since been reverted.
Update - Friday March 23, 2007
- Made several changes to support the Chinese Open Beta Test.
- Updated pet tamer NPCs so that they can now remove pets from Heroes.
- Fixed a bug that allowed players to complete the Zaishen Priest Annihilation Training mission without killing the opposing team’s priest.
- Fixed a bug that prevented some players from completing the Chasing Zenmai quest.

- Presently, pet tamer NPCs can remove pets from ANY hero in an area, without regard for who the controller or owner of the hero is.
- This update or an earlier update changed Hahan, Faithful Protector's skills, making it possible for players with only Guild Wars Nightfall to capture Word of Healing without entering the Fissure of Woe.

- Made preparations for the Fissure of Woe and Underworld Open Access weekend event.
- Added a Xunlai Tournament House Agent to Lion's Arch, Kamadan, Kaineng Center, and the Great Temple of Balthazar. This NPC has information on the virtual prize to be won in the upcoming Celestial Tournament Play-off Predictions.

Skills
- Shadow Prison: increased Energy cost to 10.
- Blades of Steel: decreased max damage to 60.
- Wastrel's Demise: increased casting time to 1 second.
- Discord: increased casting time to 2 seconds.
- Lamentation: increased casting time to 1 second, decreased damage to 15..75
- Gaze From Beyond: increased casting time to 2 seconds.
- Spirit Burn: increased recharge time to 8 seconds.
Hero Battles
- All capture points contribute to the morale meter.
- The center point contributes double the value of other points.
- Morale meter increases have been tweaked.
- The center shrine on Hero Battle map Bombardment has been moved. Players can no longer take the point from the other side of the trench.

- The option to return to the character selection screen when logging out now has "C" as a keyboard shortcut.
- A darker color is now used for text stating the linked attribute at the end of skill descriptions.
- The winner of a Hero Battles match now automatically moves on to the next match and consecutive wins are now correctly updated.
