- He does not appear when the quest Protect the Halcyon is active.
- He can be pulled with a longbow to the entrance of Zos Shivros Channel and then soloed. The priest at the resurrection shrine will heal you.
- Two groups of Naga patrol into his group, often eliminating it. You can still capture Whirling Axe by activating Signet of Capture near his (probable) location of death.
- Geoffer Pain Bringer sometimes spawns with a sword instead of an axe, rendering him completely harmless in combat.
