Notes
- Resurrect is unusual in that it does not have an attribute. Even a monk based around Smiting Prayers can effectively use Resurrect. Many Healing Prayers–based Monks use a skill that gains power with them, like Restore Life.
- The main advantage to Resurrect is its simplicity. While some other resurrect spells also heal the player for a certain amount they generally cost more. At moments where the party is in the middle of a fight and energy costs are important, resurrect is at its most useful.
- The main disadvantage is the long cast time. Six seconds is a lot of time for something to go wrong...(Unless compared to Restore Life and Resurrection Chant, which both take 8 seconds to cast) An interruption, a knockdown or simply getting beaten to death.
- Another disadvantage is that because this skill is non-attribute, a player is only resurrected with 25% health each time, so party members should be quickly healed if resurrected during battle.
- Mesmer/Monks with high ranks in Fast Casting sometimes use this in PvP, as a fast and reusable resurrection spell instead of the Resurrection Signet which is the usual choice for players who are not primary monks.
