When combined with Arcane Echo, this skill's total damage becomes obscenely high. Although most monsters will run, it can be useful against monsters not expected to or unable to run. Examples include Rotscale (if you can pin him against a wall) and stationary Siege Wurms. Deep Freeze can also help trap enemies inside.
