Notes
Shatter Enchantment can be particularly powerful and cruel when used against targets with low life, even if they would not normally die to the damage caused by Shatter Enchantment. In many cases, the only thing keeping a player alive or at a stable life amount is the enchantment on him/her. By stripping this enchantment and dealing substantial damage, you will probably doom your target, assuming he/she lives.
On the other hand, if you have a lot of cheap damage skills, consider Drain Enchantment over this skill. Although 80 or more damage may seem like a lot, Shatter Enchantment has both a fairly long recharge time and high energy cost. If you think you could do more damage with the energy you would gain from Drain Enchantment by using a different skill, try Drain Enchantment instead. In many cases, doing 80-100 damage to a target like a Warrior/Monk at full life may be pointless, but gaining energy will usually allow you to use other skills that may be better for that situation.
