that idiot is using heal other and heals enemy undead! The preceding unsigned comment was added by (contribs) 09:18, 3 February 2007 {EST.}

Indeed, Ambassador Braun heals both enemies and allies using his skills, I think that fact should be added in the article. -- Hakker 01:49, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
This happens for nearly every allied Monk NPC in the entire game. If they don't want to kill you but don't show up in your party menu, then they will heal enemies too. Entropy Sig.jpg (T/C) 01:54, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
Then shouldn't the part about him 'unintentionally' healing enemies be removed? On another note, why do most of the allied monk NPC's do that anyway? Balancing issues or a problem with scripting? --- Hakker 23:08, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
Well, Monk AI is to heal whenever damaged non-enemy creatures are nearby. Braun and most other Monk NPC are not considered to be allies or enemies of either you or foes. You can use non-offensive skills on them, of course, but you can do that to Animals also. A famous example of this being a bug was the "Spectator Healers" in The Norn Fighting Tournament. ANet made a patch to correct this. But, I am guessing that it is a scripting error somewhere, which takes a bit of work to fix. ANet certainly could fix all Monk and other NPC which inadvertently heal enemies, if they used the same patch for all of them. Although they should then also make it so they don't heal you either. I think the only logical exceptions to this would be for NPCs which are obviously allies, like the Shrine Priests for Luxon/Kurzick, Grazden the Protector, Dwarven Prospector, High Priest Alkar, etc. For these NPC it does not make sense to heal foes, but it makes lots of sense to heal the party, since they need your help. They are actually allies with everyone, so that they can't be killed through conventional methods. That is why they heal everyone, if they are injured. --Kale Ironfist 00:31, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Let us cast Scourge healing / Soul bind on the grasping ghouls and wait... mewhehehehe.-- 18:34, 26 October 2008 (UTC) Toilet
