Rare Materials[]

I just expert salvaged 43 Augmented Fleshes. I didn't receive a single Monstrous Eye. Either I have bad luck, or that information is falsified. I think proof may be needed. --Gares Redstorm 18:50, 14 May 2006 (CDT)

I Expert salvaged 6.. nada. I think It's a lie.- Morris

I also salvaged a bunch as well and did not get any. I am removing it from the article until there is proof otherwise. --aCynicalPie 05:52, 3 June 2006 (CDT)
Ironically my GF just salvaged one eye from an augmented flesh. Not sure how to upload a screenshot, but we have one.

I know I'm anonymous, but assume good faith plx. - Rue

Wow, the false information on it expertly salvaging into an Monstrous Eye survived *2* years unfixed? Yeesh. 03:19, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

... Once again, it's not false. Here, I'll tell BunBun to upload a screenshot. Rue Bemeria 03:33, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Ok, proof that augmented flesh can in fact (albeit rare) salvaged into monstrous eyes. Gw Monstrous Eye salvage

XD The word is albeit. Felix Omni Signature 03:40, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
guess why they're called "Rare Trading Materials"... MIB4u 00:33, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Well, I salvaged 12 and only got Dust (no Bones) so that's luck for you too.

They must be pretty fucking rare. Salvaged 55 Flesh, net result: 111 Dust, 53 Bones.
Same guy as above, another 17, bones and flesh, nothing else. 83.101.56.12 08:59, September 26, 2009 (UTC)
Same again, 20 Flesh: 32 bones, 27 dust.

(Reset indent) It's well documented that Charr Hide salvages into Fur, but the rate is less than 10 fur per 100 hides, so it wouldn't be unusual to e-salvage 50 hides before getting your first fur. That's why it's helpful to post your drop rate info, so we can get some idea of what to expect.

However, only a committed data collector should bother using expert kits on Augmented Flesh; you're better off selling off bones and dust from ordinary salvage (or simply selling the Flesh), given the current values of Monstrous Eyes (sell for 10\buy for 100), Dust (9\19), and Bones (3\10). In the meantime, I am willing to accept a rate of 1 eye per 100 flesh, which means I might need to e-sal 100s before I would see another eye (erm, so to speak).   — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 09:45, September 26, 2009 (UTC)
