Ballistas fire snowballs. I guess King Jalis has been running low on funding these days :) Note how they fly out after the "explosion" happens. I'm pretty sure that other Trap type items are just like a big reskin or something. This is in THK by the way, didn't check the ones in Frost Gate etc.
