Secondary effects from the introduction of this quest[]

Wow, the introduction of this quest actually radically changed the surrounding area, with few Caromi Tengu around now. I assume the storyline explanation is that the Luxon secured the area when establishing the settlement, with some of your help in the earlier quest. This will make neighboring areas like Captain Greywind considerably easier to reach. Not sure if this should be mentioned somewhere in the Wiki, or in this article. I looked to see if there use to be a "Notes" section for quests sometimes, but couldn't find any. Could be an idea to use something like that for this quest though, maybe. -- 213.113.67.150 08:49, 3 April 2006 (CDT)

True. What really interests me: Is the area changed for new characters (for example just arriving from Ascalon)? This will make many of the quests in and around North Kryta easier. What happens if you have this quest and then take Defend North Kryta Province?
On another note, I love the new settlement structure there. That was the only thing really missing in post-searing Guild Wars, an out-door area where you do not run into monsters the first few meters away from the outpost exit. With nebo, Kurzick, Ascalon and Luxon settlements all close together, that makes a pretty big area of human inhabited "friendly" non-outpost area. --Xeeron 18:36, 3 April 2006 (CDT)
I think Defend North Kryta Province remains unchanged (i.e. same amount of Titans everywhere), I'll verify it tonight. This assumption is based on the fact that Defend North Kryta Province did override the Establish the Luxon Settlement quest (if you had both active, only the Titans were there, no Ettins). On a side note, the Kurzicks seem to have driven Dwayna's Avatar from her statue in Nebo Terrace (it doesn't appear anymore when kneeled while having favor). --84-175 (talk) 19:39, 3 April 2006 (CDT)
If you were an Avatar of Life and these people looking like undead daylight vampires moved into your territory, would you come out? The Kurzicks are in desperate need of some tans. ;) I did like how both groups brought Jadeite(Luxon) and Amber Chunks(Kurzick) to Kryta. --Gares Redstorm 23:03, 3 April 2006 (CDT)
I finally beat DNKP last night, and can confirm that there are the same amount of Titans everywhere, and that there are no Luxon NPCs when the quest is active. --Ravious 01:33, 4 April 2006 (CDT)
Dwayna is the patron goddess of House zu Heltzer, greatest of the Kurzick houses, however. --130.58 03:05, 4 April 2006 (CDT)
