Discussion[edit source]

Anyone have any word as to whether the masks can be dyed, or if you must make a color choice upon redemption of orbs? The preceding unsigned comment was added by (contribs) 07:15, 30 June 2006 .

We won't know till the last day of the festival at the earliest, that's when people can get the masks. --Jamie (Talk Page) 02:36, 30 June 2006 (CDT)

At least Tengu Mask could be dyed, and the Official Website screenshot does show Dragon Masks (at least soemthing that appears to be Dragon Masks) in different colors. -User:PanSola (talk to the Follower of Lyssa.png) 02:38, 30 June 2006 (CDT)
Do any of you know if the dragon mask is customized for a particular character? <LordBiro>/<Talk> 16:51, 30 June 2006 (CDT)
Is there any headgear that isn't customized? --Theeth Assassin (talk) 16:53, 30 June 2006 (CDT)
Is that a yes or a no, Theeth? There's nothing like getting a straight answer. I presume you mean "no". <LordBiro>/<Talk> 23:30, 30 June 2006 (CDT)
Ofcourse it is customized. All armor and all special event headgear are customized. --Gem-icon-sm.png 00:03, 1 July 2006 (CDT)
I will get one mask for my necromancer but really the quests (not missions) are far too easy & tedious to waste my time with... --Jamie (Talk Page) 04:50, 4 July 2006 (CDT)
I get the distinct impression that I'm being made to look like an idiot for asking. Thanks for clearing this all up Gem. <LordBiro>/<Talk> 10:16, 1 July 2006 (CDT)
It is very obvious that you have not been on the ANet special event bandwagon like the rest of us... Shame on you! Where is your consumerism??!! :) You answer implies that you don't have stacks of pumpkinheads and Tengu masks in your storage! --Karlos 10:24, 1 July 2006 (CDT)
I certainly don't :P I do have a couple of miniatures, but that's about it! <LordBiro>/<Talk> 11:23, 1 July 2006 (CDT)
Each Dragon Mask is customized for the player who turns in the orbs. <-- There you go LordBiro. From the official site's page about the event. --Rainith 20:00, 3 July 2006 (CDT)

How Many Masks?[edit source]

Do we know whether there is any restrictions on how many masks you can have? One per character? One per account, etc? --=¦¦|| Monk Saintly Monk||¦¦=-- 05:57, 3 July 2006 (CDT)

Obviously no one knows yet, but I would guess, one mask per 250 orbs. --Rainith 11:03, 3 July 2006 (CDT)
One mask per 250 orbs. Confirmed. — ::Amont:: 12:46, 4 July 2006 (CDT)

Dyes[edit source]

Can anyone post pics of what the masks look like dyed various colors? Ingame I mean, not the renders posted on the GW site. I would love to see it dyed black, but am poor after buying my latest armor. DavimusK 13:58, 4 July 2006 (CDT)

I put up my blue dye picture. Afraid I don't have any others. :( --Chrono traveller 22:56, 6 July 2006 (CDT)
I spotted two others in Special:Newimages, so created a gallery area for the images. I used the color listed on the image file, so I don't know if the one marked "Neon" is straight green, or some dye mix. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 23:19, 6 July 2006 (CDT)
I have now removed the gallery and added a palette showing the base colors to improve the quality of the article. --Lemming64 16:46, 18 February 2007 (CST)

???[edit source]

How did someone get a mask already, rofl? Where did that ingame screenshot come from. The preceding unsigned comment was added by (contribs) 20:01, 4 July 2006.

They're availible all day long now... --84-175 (talk) 16:41, 4 July 2006 (CDT)

Male/Female difference[edit source]

is there actually a difference between the male and female mask? Alexanderpas Monk Talk 09:45, 5 July 2006 (CDT)

Only the player wearing them. Sir On The Edge (22:32, 5 July 2006 (GMT))

Neon?[edit source]

Barek, what color dye is "neon" or even "neon green". Is that say silver + green or just green or...? --Xasxas256 00:58, 7 July 2006 (CDT)

Not really sure. See Talk:Dragon_Mask#Dyes; it's an image that I found recently uploaded simply titled Image:Neon mask.jpg. I'm guessing that it's some dye mix. Feel free to remove it, as it can't be 100% accurately labelled. I also just posted on User talk:Seru who uploaded that image to see if they can say what color mix was used. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 01:09, 7 July 2006 (CDT)
FYI: In history, it shows on the original imagebucket links that Neon = Green + Dye Remover. Updating article now. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 01:21, 7 July 2006 (CDT)

What's with these random dye pictures? It just seems frivolous. Seva 13:52, 1 January 2007 (CST)

Festival Hat Maker[edit source]

I believe that when this mask is copied by the Festival Hat makers, it looses two parts of it. These two parts are the whiskers on the side and the hair on the back, the two moving parts. That should be in the mask description.

Glitch[edit source]

My mask has a glitch, and I'm not talking the no whisker paragon/derv thing, i mean a floating black L above to the left of my head. Some things that might have caused this are: Black dye on mask, Necro, Short, Dark skin, obsidian armor, thats about all i can think of. I have not seen this on anyone else and I'm certain that others can see it on me. Screenshots:[1][2][3] 22:55, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

I can't help you, but I wanted to say: your character looks incredibly badass. 17:56, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
I agree, and i think its a rip in the space time continuum--Clouddyl 21:20, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Yep, this same problem appeared just yesterday with mine. Granted it's been a while since it's been worn for me to notice, but having same graphical error. I guess I should point out that mine too is dyed black and am a necro character; those are the only similarities between me and the original post.--— xis10al Xis10al sig icon.jpg 20:44, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

I have also just noticed this problem with the piece of black on my Derv. The mask is not dyed, it has been deleted and remade with the same glitch and dye doesn't get rid of it. My friends think it's cool, and they convince me to wear it for all of five minutes before I can't stand it anymore. 07:33, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

Insignia[edit source]

The Dragon Mask can be both upgraded with an insignia and runes/insignias can be salvaged off. I've updated the wiki page. <LoF> Updated the wiki page again whereas my last update was, probably intentionally, removed. Here's some 'proof' of my claim:a picture of my insignia upgraded mask <LoF> 20:38, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

colors[edit source]

lolz i still have green with dye remover on this mask... im unique!
