Region?[edit source]

This is a region that is part of The Desolation, which is also a region? O_o RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG.png 01:31, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

It's a mission, much like the map for Dasha Vestibule (mission), or Ascalon Academy. Whoever thought this was a region was wrong. --◄mendel► 08:11, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
Actually I'd argue this is a POI, much like the Great Northern Wall and the actual Thunderhead Keep. It just so happens that this POI is so big it fully coincides with the map of a particular mission. -User:PanSola (talk to the Follower of Lyssa.png) 23:12, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
It's a Zone. That's why it can't be landmark. --◄mendel► 23:58, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
I disagree with the Dynastic Tombs being a/the Zone. My reasoning goes along the lines of "Dynastic Tombs is a place much like the Great Northern Wall and the actual Thunderhead Keep. It is the backdrop of where the mission takes place, but the DTombs itself isn't a/the zone. And thus it gets classified as a landmark". -User:PanSola (talk to the Follower of Lyssa.png) 00:42, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
It is not like those at all. GNW and TK have as map markers only outposts, the actual mission explorables are not named. Dynastic Tombs is named on the world map like an explorable area. If you argue it is a landmark you have to compare it to Fortress of Jahai which is no Zone because it's not even accessible. So what about Ascalon Academy then? --◄mendel► 01:03, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Fine, yeah, Jahai would be the more appropriate comparison. As for Ascalon Academy, it's just a special two-part mini-mission, and the article is really about the mission and not all that much about the location the mission took place in. -User:PanSola (talk to the Follower of Lyssa.png) 04:37, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Exploration[edit source]

how to explore the full area? the doors are closed- Illoyon 15:36, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Play the Remains of Sahlahja mission. --◄mendel► 15:45, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

lol i know...but the gates are closed, so i am not able to explore the full map...how can i open the gates? 95.33.25.152 15:37, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

You need to gain 15 points to open up a new section. For information on how to do that, read the first paragraph in the Remains of Sahlahja mission article. You'll need a little patience to explore this area. Nwash 15:46, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
