Talk:Enchantment removal skills quick reference

From GuildWiki
Jump to: navigation, search

Experiment[edit source]

In order to add a row to this chart, the corresponding skill need to have its template filled with the field "enchants removed". The row formatting is handled by Template:Skill box enchant remove.

Needs an update[edit source]

Doesn't look like this has been changed since factions. Xeon 04:58, 6 December 2006 (CST)

I updated the template if someone wants to use that instead of keeping the list manual:

Name # Stats Notes Skill type Attr
Shatter Storm.jpg Shatter Storm Foe all
    10 Energy.png 1 Activation.png
+7s recharge per enchant removed Elite Spell MesmerNone F
Signet of Disenchantment.jpg Signet of Disenchantment Foe 1
        1 Activation.png 15 Recharge.png
Lose all energy Signet MesmerNone F

Uses "enchantsremoved" for the # column and "enchantremovalnotes" for the notes column. --Fyren 05:22, 6 December 2006 (CST)

Ill give it a look later tonight if i get time using that. Xeon 05:26, 6 December 2006 (CST)
I also renamed this to Template:Skill box enchant removal, though I left the old name as a redirect. Changed "enchantnotes" to "enchantremovalnotes" in case we end up with a general enchants quick reference, though I suppose that's unlikely. --Fyren 06:19, 6 December 2006 (CST)
Ill finish this tomorrow or the next day, one of these lists are enough for one day. Unless someone else wants to do the job. Xeon

missing exhastion[edit source]

this template is missing the exhaustion grey button thing. Xeon 22:48, 6 December 2006 (CST)

Strange way to represent this data[edit source]

Skills that strip your own enchantments and skills that strip other's are used for completely different purposes. What's the point of having CoP and Lingering Curse practically side-by-side in one chart? — 130.58 (talk) 00:37, 22 January 2007 (CST)

This needs a target column. -- Xeon 00:40, 22 January 2007 (CST)
Yes. Probably together with "number", so you'd have entries like "all self" or "all foe". I would also group the skills by target, since you probably go to the table specifically looking for either self-removers or things that disenchant the enemy. — 130.58 (talk) 04:40, 22 January 2007 (CST)
This was one of the original lists, we included the target list in the more recent ones. -- Xeon 04:54, 22 January 2007 (CST)
Are they more sane? If so, please put a delete tag here or turn into a redirect/disambig. And where are they? Enchantment links just this (and several skills do, too). 134.130.4.46 18:14, 8 March 2007 (CST)
Target column appears unclear. Is this the target on which you cast or the target it affects? I usually assume target is who its casted on and Whoever it affects is different. For example, Hex Eater Vortex only targets one ally but removes hexes from Foes adjacent to that ally. So target would be ally and the "subject" if you will, would be the adjacent foes. Effect on end skills quick reference seems to make this distinction clearly. However many QR pages are abiguous on this point. — JediRogue JediRogueSig.jpg (talk |contribs) 17:23, 23 April 2007 (CDT)
The target column in QRs is the target of the QR topic's effect. --Fyren 03:15, 24 April 2007 (CDT)
