Armour Changes[edit source]

A lot of people are going to have to spend a lot of money to get patched versions of their armor. — 130.58 (talk) (23:09, 26 April 2006 (CDT))

Game update notes mention a way to upgrade (yet to come). I imagine it's gonna be free. -PanSola 00:01, 27 April 2006 (CDT)
It explicitly says it'll be free, but only available for level 20 armour. I'm just not sure how the upgrading will affect dyes and runes in the armours. --adeyke 00:11, 27 April 2006 (CDT)

Minion Mastering[edit source]

Does it really means no more then 10 minions? what was the point of that? Foo 02:11, 27 April 2006 (CDT)

11, since you can pump death magic to 18. -PanSola 02:14, 27 April 2006 (CDT)
possible, but not that practical. Foo 02:23, 27 April 2006 (CDT)
Wait, how do you get it to 18? it's death, not curses or blood. Foo 06:38, 27 April 2006 (CDT)
The main reason is to prevent minion masters from dominating Alliance battles as was the case in the FPE. Either that, or Anet just hates farmers (in which case I luuurve them). — Stabber  02:17, 27 April 2006 (CDT)
Then how about intreducing new anti-mm skills? to me, it seems like the easy way to shaken things up. change winning builds by restrictions, insted of by providing more options. first order, then mm, will the baraggers be next to be nerfed? Foo 02:23, 27 April 2006 (CDT)
And beside that, I can understand that you don't like to farm, or think it is silly or misses the point of the game, but now it look only as if you are happy with the misfortune of others. Foo 02:29, 27 April 2006 (CDT)
The sad part about farming is it's always about finding the most exploitable exploit in then game.. Then exploit it. --Markild 05:30, 27 April 2006 (CDT)
I do not agree with "always". 55 chars and book trics are exploiting the game mechanics, even minion factories, but barrage/pet parties and solo beach warriors are working within rules, to get the best of their capabilities. Foo 06:12, 27 April 2006 (CDT)
It's about finding a build that works well. Then, as soon as such a build is discovered, here comes ANet to limit it. Your reward for making a good build and investing runes into it is getting butt raped by ANet. Period. Delia Rashesh 15:39, 27 April 2006 (CDT)
Well, Anet clearly doesn't want you playing their game. It's too bad. Your amazing minion mastery skills will be sorely missed, I am sure. — Stabber  15:52, 27 April 2006 (CDT)
Not of all misfortune -- just that of farmers. I make no secret of the fact I despise farming, of all kinds (including fame and faction farming). Frankly, I think e-denial took a much more brutal hit, as far as nerfs go, than minion masters. Lots of builds such as [R/Me Weariness Ranger] have been reduced to garbage with the current e-denial ranges. — Stabber  05:38, 27 April 2006 (CDT)
Even though you despise it, it does not mean those farmers are doing anything wrong. this is just pure gloat. Foo 06:23, 27 April 2006 (CDT)
Oh they are. They are destroying the soul of the game. Allow me my brief moment of satisfaction. (As I said, I think this was because of Alliance battles more than hating farming, as they would have done this a long time ago if they truly disliked farming.) — Stabber  06:42, 27 April 2006 (CDT)

For PvP, IMO the [IWAY team] would have been a better target... seriously, they own HoH most of the time. Delia Rashesh 15:37, 27 April 2006 (CDT)

IWAY owning HoH? Nonsense! Even the best IWAY groups (i.e., [MATH]) struggle to make it out of Broken Tower. Owning HoH indeed! — Stabber  15:52, 27 April 2006 (CDT)

EULA[edit source]

and they've ghanged the EULA... again... probaly there was a mistake in the previous version ;) 194.151.136.153 05:20, 27 April 2006 (CDT)

Undocumented update[edit source]

10:45 GMT: A new build of guildwars is availble! Please exit and log in again! Note that this is after they've applied this update 194.151.136.153 05:50, 27 April 2006 (CDT)

11:00 GMT: A new build of guildwars is availble! Please exit and log in again! Again they've updated... did they rush factions?

What the hell does it matter? It's not like logging out and back in is impossibly hard. — Stabber  06:41, 27 April 2006 (CDT)
Minor updates that happen right after a major update are typically fixes to newly introduced problems. Like Illusion of Haste not removing cripple when cast. --Draygo Korvan 15:55, 27 April 2006 (CDT)

Minatures[edit source]

Did anyone else see these? They were little figurines you could get by opening presents that spawn when you make a character in pre-searing. You could get Prince Rurik, Shiro, Jade Armor, Hydra, Kirin, Devourers, Jungle Trolls, Temple Gaurdians, Necrid Horsemen, and many others. I think there were 14 in all.

About 2 hours later, and update whiped them out of my inventories and storages, and those of everyone I know. --216.45.139.148 07:25, 27 April 2006 (CDT)

Confirmed. A few hours ago, I made a new Prophecies character and spawned with a little blue box (like the Christmas ones, but different colors) in my inventory. I opened it and found a hydra. Didn't really get the chance to play with it. Now it's gone. :_( — 130.58 (talk) (09:28, 27 April 2006 (CDT))
Miniatures existed but were removed shortly after. Perhaps it is in preperation for tomarrow, the anniversery of guild wars.--Draygo Korvan 15:57, 27 April 2006 (CDT)
They're back. | Chuiu 00:19, 29 April 2006 (CDT)
Someone who knows more please put this in the notes of the update. --Gem Gem-icon-sm.png 02:10, 29 April 2006 (CDT)
Not for me. They are supposed to appear on character creation, are they? Or have they been removed, again? --84-175 (talk) 02:12, 29 April 2006 (CDT)
From what I've read, they appear on your account's "birthday", i.e. after you've had your account for one year, you get them. I think people were saying they just appear in your character's inventory, but only if you have an open inventory slot that is. --Rainith 02:21, 29 April 2006 (CDT)
In this guru thread they say that "Only people participating in the ORIGINAL head start ( Production date - 1 day) Are getting theres today." Well, remains to be seen, neither applies to me. :) --84-175 (talk) 02:32, 29 April 2006 (CDT)
Well, it seems clear to me. they were programed to apear at birthdays, without limiting to n>0. anyway, I've created Miniature. is the spelling wrong? Foo 04:26, 29 April 2006 (CDT)
