The description has been changed. The new description notes no bonus damage. Tested it and it was doing normal damage and effects. but the description is still different. Wild Strike was changed to - Off Hand Attack. Use this after a Dual Attack
+25 Damage.

The skills just look like a raw version, used for testing on quick reference, and it seems to have accidentally leaked to the update. Some have changed, so it may be an accidental forthcoming of a skill balance update, but I think they will revert that. These look like... data. Echoing[edit source]

Anyone notice the crazy echoing going on in Crevice or is it just me for this run? It seems a bit overdone like a bug, but maybe it was on purpose. --RabiesTurtle 21:10, 11 January 2007 (CST)

No, but I just resigned from Dunes of Despair and when we died, it sound sounded like 100 things at once had died, it was much louder than normal and sounded very different than the normal sound of death. --Mwpeck 22:03, 11 January 2007 (CST)
The one I am talking about was more of an echo like in a cave. It sounded fine actually for a cave echo... but for a game it was rather strong. Realistic though. I don't recall it till halfway through the mission though, so could be a bug despite the significance of the echo in a cave being fitting.--RabiesTurtle 23:30, 11 January 2007 (CST)

Turning off EAX Support fixed the echo for me - it appeared in some GvGs I observered.
I've also had this super anoying echoing, which only stopped after a rezone (i was running someone to LA and in the swamp zone it instantly appeared O_o)--|\/| /-\ ''|'' 16:04, 12 January 2007 (CST)
Had that thing too many times even long before last update. I decided to turn off EAX permanently. Beside, i never liked thoses echoes anyway. I turn off all game music and put my own music most of the time and echoes dont go well with Amy Lee... TulipVorlax P.S.: Forgot to log in..

"Fixed ... bypass teleportation portals"[edit source]

Do we know what kinds of teleportation portals cannot now not be bypassed. By "some" players, does that mean all that knew how? Does this mean that assassins and the like are unable to shadow step past zone portals to explore what they shouldn't be able to reach on the other side? -- Dashface Dashface.png 06:28, 12 January 2007 (CST)

I think so... people should test this thourly... It may also mean simple walking through a portal, but not being teleported, as happened to me once when I tried to exit Unwaking Waters (Kurzick). The assassin trick where you flagged henchies through the portal and then shadow stepped to them was fixed with the release of Nightfall (henchies now teleport back to your location when you try to flag them into a portal). Hmm, I wonder if this has anything to do with the slight weirdness I have noticed while zoning. Since this update when walking through portals to change the area, you can see for a brief time, just right before the loading screen appears, your character warping back to wherever you started in that area. So basically it's not letting you walk through the portal to the other side.

Hero Panel/Faction Points[edit source]

Balthazar Faction cap in Training Arena / Zaishen Challenge[edit source]

Has the max Balthazar Faction that can be earned in Training Arena / Zaishen Challenge been doubled again (to 4000) now? I'm sure it was 2000 during the week before the 01/11 update but today I was able to get up to 4000.

Tyria Missions[edit source]

Dunes of Despair and Thirsty River missions (mostly involving the bonus) have changed as of this update (no changes on Jan 10 (did them both that day), new changes in effect after Jan 11). It is now very hard to get bonus in Thirsty, and more difficult in Dunes. See the talk pages for those missions for details. Queen Schmuck 16:39, 17 January 2007 (CST)
