Then 2nd pc would log in to that same acct, trade the items wanted to be duplicated to a 3rd person, then log off... Then they would go back to the 1st pc waiting to reconnect, then reconnect. Can anyone actually confirm that this exploit actually works? I read the Topic on guru concerning this, but I mean, how is this possible? [1] Frantic 07:14, 13 August 2007 (CDT)
- Possible or not, there was a game update that disabled reconnection as a result of this exploit. We should document it. As for how they did it, one can theorize but I'd rather not do so in a public forum where many wanna-be scammers can get more ideas. :P --Karlos 07:20, 13 August 2007 (CDT)
- Even after reading on it, I still can't fathom how they did it. And with the disabled reconnects, this particular method doesn't work any more. It's all so confusing. And to think I was annoyed at ANet for screwing around with reconnects while my connection wasn't very stable.
