Good: Aspenwood Warrior fix, restored Rits to usefulness. Bad: General Sin buff, but especially, Wild Strike now unblockable. Rangers just became Sin fodder even without Expose Defenses. D: Be sure to pack your Throw Dirt, people. Well, at least they still have to land a lead...Dancing Daggers? Arshay Duskbrow 23:02, 16 August 2007 (CDT)

Abaddon

So they altered his AI so he can no longer be killed with reversal of damage. HOWEVER. Did they fix the bug that made my party have to use that technique in the first place? Every time we got close to killing him the real way (like 1/10 HP or less), the glitch mentioned on the mission page would occur to us. "* Note that sometimes, a glitch occurs, and the last pair of Monoliths will never stop spawning, resulting in an eventual party wipe. This glitch has also been known to occur with the Torment Claws." --141.158.120.3 00:19, 17 August 2007 (CDT)

I've never encountered this bug in the mission. The main issue we always have, is he CONSTANTLY puts up torment claw after torment claw, sometimes 2 or 3 at a time. We cant even make headway on the monoliths or him cuz claws are always popping up. This update really just hurts the idiots running this mission. Isk8 09:23, 17 August 2007 (CDT)

Announcing favor...

>Added a message to alert players when someone in their district has achieved a maximum title that counts toward earning Favor of the Gods.

With the exception of some titles, I cannot see this change as being all that useful, considering that a majority of the titles are usually maxed out during most explorable areas or missions (e.g. outside outposts). However, I must admit I am tempted to go out of my way to be in a populated outpost if I was about to max. a title. :-P --DaveBaggins 02:06, Aug 17 2006 (CST)

Perhaps it announces to your team in explorables? --24.179.151.252 03:24, 17 August 2007 (CDT)
Very good point... Most of the titles are maxed in explorables... Lets look at this. LDOA and Survivor can be maxed in town, only if getting a quest reward pushes you to that point. Lucky/Unlucky only during the events with Rings o Fortune. And the last 2 are Drunkard and Sweet Tooth. So realistically, this part of the update is completely pointless. Isk8 09:20, 17 August 2007 (CDT)
Well, technically someone could max LB/SS in town if they saved some SS/LB quests for qhen they were just below the mark. But yeah, this won't affect very much at all --Gimmethegepgun 13:43, 17 August 2007 (CDT)
Actually, with clever thinking you can pretty much max almost all the existing titles in a town with the exception of few, but doing so will involve going out of your way to do so.
  • Cartographer (3 titles)/Legendary Cartographer - Filling the remaining .01 percent while in a town/outpost.
  • Skill Hunter (3 titles)/Legendary Skill Hunter - use an elite tome while in a town/outpost (your other chars must already have the elite)
  • Sunspear/Lightbringer - accepting quest reward that gives such points while in a town.
  • Defender of Ascalon - accept quest reward(s) while char is near level 20.
  • Survivor - accepting quest reward that gives exp. points while your char is near 1,337,500 exp. points.
  • Drunkard - Get drunk while near 10,000 minutes, in a town.
  • Wisdom - simply ID a high-level unidentified gold.
  • Sweet Tooth - simply eat something sweet.
  • Gamer - play Dragon Nest.
  • (Un-)Lucky (2 Titles) - play one of the boardwalk games.
  • Maxed titles - "max" one of the other titles while in a town.
  • Protector/Guardian (3 titles each)/Legendary Protector/Guardian - depends on whether the game will accounce completion of a mission (no evidence of this)
The following titles I am no sure can be "maxed" out in a town....
  • Treasure Hunter
  • Vanquisher (3 titles)/Legendary Vanquisher
  • Champion
  • Gladiator
  • Hero
My main char (Dana Windfelt) has currently maxed 13 titles -- I do not think I was ever in a town when any of these titles reached max. --DaveBaggins 15:15, Aug 17 2006 (CST)

If there is a purpose of this update, it may have to do with the upcoming titles in GW:EN. (Though I can not see how.) Another possibility is they are planning to change the way favor works to be more district or region based. --DaveBaggins 15:25, Aug 17 2006 (CST)

Didn't they just change favor so that it wasn't region-based anymore? Kokuou 17:40, 17 August 2007 (CDT)
They changed it so it wasn't Region AND PvP based. What DaveBaggins is suggesting is they might be changing it back to Region based, but now it will be PvE based instead of PvP. --Tometheus-signature Tometheus (talk) 19:10, 17 August 2007 (CDT)
