Great skill to counter the new scatter effects of mobs

Except it's a large AoE Hex, not a Ward. I've always liked using this + Eruption and such...costs less than Deep Freeze etc. It's also good for Gust Oops I meant , I get them mixed up ><. 01:14, 8 January 2007 (CST)

The recent buff has made this skill actually look good. I've been thinking of running a warrior with some Earth Magic and an elemental mod for an easy snare and to bypass the penalty. --Ufelder 09:09, 10 January 2007 (CST)

Anyone know how this interacts with the ranger elite, Greater Conflagration? That converts all physical damage to fire damage. Would the hexed foe still get +24 armor against the formerly physical damage? Mujaki 00:21, 18 January 2007 (CST)

With the weekend update I can see this working well with an sandstorm team in PvP.

Compare to Aura of Thorns. Quite a lot better than AoT now if your only intent is to snare- longer duration, and hexes are generally slightly harder to remove than conditions. --Son of Urza 12:30, 3 February 2007 (CST)

This is more useful for melees. And GE recharges faster in case you get into a really bad situation, not to mention that it's cheaper. But they're both good. Mr IP 05:29, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

  1. Works well with skills requiring your target to be hexed, such as Gust or Black Spider Strike, as it has a low cost and reasonable duration even with no points in Earth Magic. it's not as cheap anymore, may want to remove these 02:42, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
