Hah, ANet is acknowledging the popularity of the Touch Ranger. About time. However, true to form, the article has factual errors (regarding spell costs) and who could posibly doubt that the popularity of the TR has soared after it was introduced right here on GuildWiki? That's not "shrouded in mystery", that's a fact. :) -- Bishop icon2 Bishop [rap|con] 16:12, 15 June 2006 (CDT)

Well, they weren't denying it's existence or anything. ANet is busy. ;-) As far as GWiki's involvement in Touch Rangers, well, I think we helped popularize the name, but not much more. Touch Rangers broke out in force everywhere when Factions and the duplicate skills came out, really. It took a while before everyone realized they were viable (so there was certainly a period of build-up), but people have been trying to make good touch rangers since the game initially came out. It was just the duplicate skills that really made it potent. --JoDiamonds 16:34, 15 June 2006 (CDT)
When I wrote the first version of Build:R/N Touch Ranger, they were already ridiculously common in RA/TA. Back then they even needed a bit of skill to play because you had to depend on Touch of Agony to reach the high DPS marks. By the way, this edition of The Scribe has one more huge flaw -- it conflates damage and life stealing. If even Arena Net can't get this basic game mechanic straight, how can they expect anyone else to get it? — Stabber  18:45, 15 June 2006 (CDT)
