We should probably link to [1], non? Maybe drop the mountain goat reference too, since in-game Kirin are so obviously a reference to mythological Kirin (Japanese pronunciation of Chinese mythological beast, Qilin) Evan The Cursed (Talk) 09:30, 30 March 2006 (CST)

Yey! ... Hey, when did we start supporting interwiki links? I didn't even know GWiki had that feature enabled. Guess I'm just too lazy to find out. Evan The Cursed (Talk) 09:55, 30 March 2006 (CST)
GuildWiki has always had interwiki links to Wikipedia, at least. — Stabber 10:08, 30 March 2006 (CST)
Historically, I believe it was Skuld the Great who showed us the light. Prior to that we used to do external links like the one Evan used. My memory fails me as to when that monumental revelation took place. :) --Karlos 14:29, 30 March 2006 (CST)
Hehe ^^ metawiki:Main Page and metawikipedia:Main Page can be used for the wikimedia metawiki too — Skuld 14:36, 30 March 2006 (CST)

Would it be worth mentioning that "kirin" (キリン)(Japanese) means "giraffe" in English? --Aozora Aozora.png 06:36, 2 July 2007 (CDT)

No because kirins are a type of mythological creature in Asian cultures. The fact that giraffe are called such in modern times is because early people thought giraffes (brought back by traders) are one such creatures. --Voidvector 04:42, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
