Does +5 armor mod have a greater benefit versus damage than a +30 fortitude mod?Silver40596 16:46, 5 March 2007 (CST)

An hp mod has no "benefit" vs damage. A +5 armor mod reduces damage by roughly 6%. Do the math, if you'd like. I prefer the defense mod, as in a few attacks it reduces far more than 30 hp...but some prefer hp mods to help with DP/superior runes. In the end, all preference. Spen 16:48, 9 June 2007 (CDT)
Also, a def mod is probably a better choice when you're gonna be doing Health Sacrifice, such as with a Blood Necro...higher max health = more sacrificed. Def mod would just reduce damage to you, so you don't sacrifice as much Health and you take less damage to boot. Of course that only applies to a select few classes and skills, but it is still a good example. +60 Health staff < +10AL staff on a BiP. (< +20E staff I guess, but that is another matter) Entropy Sig (T/C) 16:51, 9 June 2007 (CDT)
Eh, I don't know, the inherent +10 energy or even one insightful would be fine. I would prefer a defense mod in there somewhere. Aggro doesn't hold as often as it should. Spen 14:03, 20 June 2007 (CDT)
Personally, I like armor mods on Warriors/Rangers, enchanting mods on Dervishes, and health mods on everything else. Zaboomafoo 14:00, 23 July 2007 (CDT)
