Do we have any indication that Gelsan (the Landlord mentioned here), is the same person as Gelsan the Outfitter? Should I add a note "It is believed that they are (not) the same."? --Tetris L 03:08, 13 Oct 2005 (EST)
- You might add a note that they might be the same person. I wouldn't phrase it one way or the other as we have no real indication beyond the single name (which may be a common name in Ascalon). --Rainith 03:24, 13 Oct 2005 (EST)
When I did this quest, I picked up the hive and walked over the bridge, set it dwon and went back. This got the reward. I din't know anything about 3 swarms until reading the post here. Looks like it's been simplifed to just carrying the hive over the bridge. No need to worry about attracting 3 swarms.
- Eh, I just did it again last night, the three swarms were there. Since they don't do anything to you (other than get in your way) I'd guess that you just didn't notice them. --Rainith 03:47, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
-20 Off-Hand[edit source]
Might it be worth noting in the actual article that this is the quest where you can recieve the -20 Health Off-Hand? This item allows 55-Monk to reach 13 Health, making them nearly invulnerable. Not to mention that they can keep farming after a death.
- Uh, help me out here, I'm not sure I understand how replacing the -50 cesta with a -20 one reduces hp from 55 to 13...? -- Bishop [rap|con] 12:24, 15 June 2006 (CDT)
- with one death, the dp get you 33hp without the -50, so with a -20 you get 13hp--Aratak 12:28, 15 June 2006 (CDT)
Divine Symbol Math[edit source]
Part of damage prevented for when you got +10 armor: 1-2^(-10/40)
Out of 1/3 of your (HP minus 20), for when it is in effect: (x-20)/3*(1-2^(-10/40))
20 minus that amount, too see how much points of damage you don't need to take cause of the symbol: 20-(x-20)/3*(1-2^(-10/40))
level 10 -> 280hp -> ~6 points of damage saved.
level 11 -> 300hp -> ~5 points of damage saved.
level 12 -> 320hp -> ~4 points of damage saved.
level 13 -> 340hp -> ~3 points of damage saved.
level 14 -> 360hp -> ~2 points of damage saved.
level 15 -> 380hp -> ~1 points of damage saved.
400hp or more - it will take you longer to die, and since those amounts are minor, and real death leveling usually starts only at level 16, (400hp), I'm removing the note again. Foo 13:22, 15 March 2007 (CDT)
