nope, just same stats, still need to find out if its just Jade brotherhood ritualists, or all jade brotherhood

Energy[edit source]

So, it gives a bonus of +30 Energy, but also has -5 energy? Then shouldn't it just be +25 energy? --Amontillado 12:28, 21 June 2006 (CDT)

its +30 health no?--Aratak 12:30, 21 June 2006 (CDT)
Ahh, sorry about that. Misread it. --Amontillado 12:46, 21 June 2006 (CDT)

I don't understand the purpose of the -5 Energy, why have it give you +12 Energy, and then take away 5. Why not just make the fan worth +7 Energy and be done with it, it makes no sense

If you have a green +12 focus with no req it will give you 3 energy. White and green items would give +3, blue gives +6 I think. — Skuld Monk 13:25, 27 June 2006 (CDT)
I've tested Korr's Focus on my eley w/ 0 fire and equipping it still gives me 6 energy. So as far as e-hiding goes, a presearing earth scroll w/ -5 is still best imo-- 16:10, 8 September 2007 (CDT)
It is used for a technique called "energy hiding" in PvP. I use it a lot with my casters and it works extremely well if you can micromanage it. - Stexe
I think a presearing earth scroll w/ -5e +4 armor works better for energy hiding. I have one on my monk, +3 energy, -5 energy, +4 armor. These greens give you +6 energy if req isn't meant but the mod -5e which means you still net +1e at the end. You might as well just use a shield.-- 16:10, 8 September 2007 (CDT)
The -5 energy is a compensation for the +5 Armor. They can't have you get something good from it, without having to sacrifice something else. --FizQuestIconThumb.png 00:37, 27 August 2006 (CDT)
besides, dropping to an empty set is a better way to hide energy. --Honorable Sarah Honorable Icon.gif 01:40, 27 August 2006 (CDT)
Except that if you have low health, dropping to an empty set instead of something like this and a health sword can kill you as you lose any health bonuses on your previous set. -- 22:11, 30 September 2006 (CDT)
Right, these are greens Anet slipped in as a nod for focus swapping in PvP. Their use in PvE is pretty limited unless you run Rebirth. Seef II 02:39, 27 August 2006 (CDT)

Does anyone know how much these sell for?

Acquisition[edit source]

Can all Jade Brotherhood mobs in Bukdek Byway drop it, or just the Ritualists? -- Gordon Ecker 21:14, 30 September 2006 (CDT)
