Talk:The Apostate

From GuildWiki
Jump to: navigation, search

wasn't able to capture the dialog between the Apostate and the Margonite Stalker. It went something along the lines of the Stalker saying "your writings against our Lord will not go unpunished" and the Apostate says something like "My writings are no concern of yours". For the sake of the wiki, I won't put stuff that isn't verbatim.-- ···» Life Infusion ··· 16:09, 21 January 2007 (CST)

added the end point dialogue between the Stalker and the Apostate. -Ayashi-

Does anyone find it interesting that the reward dialogue infers that there was a predecessor to Abaddon? Perhaps all the gods have replaced an older god. We already know Grenth disposed Dhuum. I wonder if this will be expanded in Campaign 4. 20:56, 24 February 2007 (CST)

Bugged?[edit source]

Is this quest bugged in some fashion, several times now during this quest, the Apostate just stops dead, sometimes in the middle of the plain just outside Gate of Secrets, necessitating clear most of the mobs there to be able to get near him and force him to get moving again :( --BramStoker 16:34, 7 March 2007 (CST)

I don't think that's a bug; I think they did it on purpose to prevent you from just ignoring the Apostate entirely and making your own way to the end point. Copperthorn 04:09, 16 March 2007 (CDT)

Healing mobs?[edit source]

During fights, the Apostate can occasionally be witnessed casting Dismiss Condition. I'm not certain, but I think I have also observed this behavior when nobody of my party was affected by conditions. Could it be possible that he is helping out the enemies of the party during the quest, possibly to faulty programming? - Quizer 10:15, 1 June 2007 (CDT)

He heals enemies like Ambassador Zain does in Ascalon.--Renegade26 10:16, 1 June 2007 (CDT)
Confirmed the behavior. He took off Deep Wound of a Torment Claw immediately after I hit it with it. Because it was a single enemy, it was very easy to observe. I'm adding the information to the page. - Quizer 10:19, 1 June 2007 (CDT)
You can see the same behaviour with several healer NPCs, such as the kurzick/luxon monks at shrines or in SF, they seem to heal both sides, sometimes if this is causing a stalemate you can purposefully let your team take some damage so that they will heal you, then spike the enemy. -Ezekiel 10:38, 1 June 2007 (CDT)
