I think this needs to be renamed to "Torment Demon" --Karlos 05:23, 10 November 2006 (CST)
- The Forgotten Warden dialogue refers to them simply as 'demons', while the Lightbringer Monster Hunt bounty description refers to them as 'torment creatures'. There's a similar disagreement between 'beast' and 'great beast' for the Sunspear version of Monster Hunt. -- Gordon Ecker 18:25, 21 November 2006 (CST)
- The term "Torment Demon" was used in the 2007/04/19 update notes, so it's now an official term, but the bounty descriptions still call them "torment creatures".
Trying to sort out the Scythe of Chaos confusion a bit; can anyone confirm that the Mesmer variant appears in the Realm of Torment? I beleive they are all Dervishes; I'm going to remove the reference but someone please put it back if I'm wrong. (At any rate, the Realm of Tormet is not part of the Prophecies campaign, so the information would need to go somewhere else.) Kutulu 21:30, 30 December 2006 (CST)
- I can confirm that many of Dhuum's minions, including the Mesmer Scythe of Chaos and Terrorweb Dryders appear in the Realm of Torment in Nightfall. I cannot recall which area specifically, but I know I fought them along the primary quest path between completion of Gate of Pain and reaching Gate of Madness. --Wil 21:35, 30 December 2006 (CST)
- Ok, makes sense since Dhuum & Abbadon are in cahoots. I will have to go find them and make sure they aren't affected by Lightbringer's Gaze or count towards the bounty. If you happen to find them before I do please confirm that they're level 28 like everything else in the Realm of Torment; I'm adding them to the list.
Scythe of Chaos Cleanup[edit source]
I have confirmed that, despite some apparent early confusion, or perhaps due to a recent update, the Dervish Scythe of Chaos that appears on Elona does behave the same as the other Torment demons. It can be the target of the Lightbringer's skills and it does count towards your demon bounty. This is different behavior than the Mesmer Scythe of Chaos found in the Tombs. (This is a form notice. I am hitting all of the pages that make reference to the Scythe of Chaos and making sure they clearly reference the correct one.) Kutulu 22:00, 30 December 2006 (CST)
torment gems[edit source]
according to the article tormented creatures in styigan veil drop stygian gems, this is not true they drop tormented gems. I have had two drops of torment gems in stygian veil (however i was able to pick up only one :S)
