Works against ranged attacks as well? Arrows and Spears? --Amokk 14:43, 3 October 2006 (CDT)

Any attack. --Mgrinshpon 16:38, 19 October 2006 (CDT)

I found that this skill doesn't prevent the first attacks which trigger the blind, Seems like a poor skill considering it doesn't last long, and has unusually long recharge. -Hesus

well, just think though... if it lasted any longer then half the recharge time, you could keep the attacker blinded almost perpetually... they get a 10% chance of re-applying blind, basically, while you heal yourself for much more then whatever damage you took. Pretty useful against any non-caster foes, really. I'll have to use this more often. {Jioruji Derako} 16:15, 8 February 2007 (CST)

Keep in mind that with 14 Restoration Magic, there will only be a 6 second down-time on the Blind (or so), and nonexistent with Weapon of Quickening or just 1 second with Ghostly Haste. Thus this skill is extremely powerful, especially as it can't be removed since it's a weapon spell. Basically kicks the sh*t out of Weapon of Warding, just use healing breeze on them to make up for the lost degen :/ --Gimmethegepgun 14:56, 13 February 2007 (CST)

cant be combined with weapon of quickening as they are both weapon spells ~Soqed Hozi~ 09:17, 14 February 2007 (CST)
I meant use quickening on yourself and shadow on someone else --Gimmethegepgun 09:56, 14 February 2007 (CST)

On a Mantra of Recall dom mesmer, this is godly for dealing with assassin spikes. Tycn 02:49, 27 March 2007 (CDT)

shouldnt Veil of Thorns be related they both cause conditions when an enemy smacks you Zan 16:31, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
IMHO, no, for several reasons. Veil is an enchant, not a weapon spell. Veil causes cripple, not blindness. Veil can only be cast on yourself, not others. The only similarity is the one you mentioned. Tainted Flesh is closer to this skill than veil because they both cause conditions, and TF can be cast on others. Still, I wouldn't consider TF similar to this skill. --GW-Seventh 10:50, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
