A Link to Wheel of Time?

The White Mantle are very similar to the Whitecloaks[1] in Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. They are both militaristic societies that combat what they perceive to be evil. However, in both situations what the Whitecloaks or White Mantle perceive as evil may be wrong. The Whitecloaks also have an inquisition mindset, and the Justicar/Confessor titles in Guild Wars are very similar to the High Inquisitor title in Wheel of Time.

I also find them similar to the Scarlet Crusade in World of Warcraft which i guess is also inspired by Robert Jordan's Whitecloaks..

I've always found them reminiscent of the Inquisition of the Empire of Man from Warhammer 40k, same zealous fundamentalism and the same deliberate bastardisation of a belief system for their own gain. Although I guess you could say that about pretty much every religion. I don't think that you can say what they percieve as evil is wrong, it's right from their point of view. Did anyone notice that the stylized thing on the flag looks MUCH more like a seer because of the web-like thing begind its head?

White Mantle Armor

Who else thinks it would be kinda neat to have armor like the members of the White Mantle? Especialy the White Mantle Knights? I might actualy give up primeval armor for it, if the stats were good... 67.162.181.200 22:27, 26 April 2007 (CDT)

Kinda neat, yeah. I am fond of their helms, since they actually look like a real knight's helm without completely obscuring the face so that you only see the eyes! And the crenellations...serrations...whatever you call it, the "scales" plating on the arms is nice. And the cape...damn, I would like to have something like that for my Guild. :\ I also like their color scene, too bad that color combo of red and white is difficult to get with Dyes. War in Kryta Units

Since the War in Kryta has been introducing more Mantle professions, I was just wondering if we were going to add them to this page with the rest of the units, since I've been running into mixed groups of Mantle and Peacekeepers, especially in Watchtower Coast, been seeing groups with dual professions and a few new named Mantle Elementalists and Necromancers, as well as scouts with pet white tigers. I would attempt to add them myself, but for the time being, I don't have the time for finding out the skills (same name, multiple 2nd professions as with Peacekeepers).
