are you considering this as a template for user defined skills? because I was just thinking about something like that myself. Would be nice to have a category where they appeared. (add <includeonly> [[Category:User created skills|{{{name}}}]]</includeonly> i believe). —JediRogue 17:38, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

I can't show preview, you can't see how a template works unless you save it and view on another page. In any event, it's real now, and you can add a category tag if you want, Jedi.Entrea SumataeEntrea Sumatae [Talk] 19:32, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
Suggest moving to Template:User skill box? (cuz the normal template is Template:skill box, and Template:User skill template is redudant)--Marcopolo47 signature new.jpg (Talk) (Contr.) 19:33, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
And also, capitalizing all words ftl.--Marcopolo47 signature new.jpg (Talk) (Contr.) 19:34, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
Blame warwick, I said to move it to that same place.Entrea SumataeEntrea Sumatae [Talk] 19:35, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Now...[edit source]

We just have to alert everyone so we can get all of GuildWiki:Humor's skills looking so great.Entrea SumataeEntrea Sumatae [Talk] 19:46, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

And of course by everyone... --Gimmethegepgun 19:52, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, probably. It is kinda difficult to change over the templates, though, and we don't want him spending months changing them. Or do we?Entrea SumataeEntrea Sumatae [Talk] 19:58, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

how to[edit source]

what does normal wiki coding mean? should i wikify or not? (i could read the template and find out but this should be explained clearly without that)—JediRogue 22:53, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Yes, wikify --Gimmethegepgun 23:01, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
All it means is that putting "Elementalist" in the Profession place will not automatically create Elementalist, and putting it in the profession icon spot will not automatically transform it into Elementalist-icon.png like the normal skill box does. It's a little harder to code a skill, but you can put in any profession/picture/whatever into the thing and get no automatic redlinks.Entrea SumataeEntrea Sumatae [Talk] 23:11, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Bah[edit source]

Rather useless imho, but I guess this is the way to go for those less experienced with Wikicode. The old "joke skill" template works perfectly fine with one or two modifications. </elitist> Entropy Sig.jpg (T/C) 21:38, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

What "Joke Skill" template?--Marcopolo47 signature new.jpg (Talk) (Contr.) 21:47, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
I made one here, I think Entropy made one, and I know someone else made one too --Gimmethegepgun 22:00, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Both of yours DO work, but they still have the major problems with joke professions (the icon bugs) and everything must be {{pipe}}d somewhere else. This way, you don't have to link if you don't want to (Especially the skill name), and using fake professions or attributes it a lot easier.Entrea SumataeEntrea Sumatae [Talk] 00:49, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
The only time you'd want those things is if it was mainspace tbh. Entropy Sig.jpg (T/C) 22:01, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
Darn. If I knew this was here I wouldn't have to make this back in the day. ...Well, at least my template autocategorises skills into the Guild Wiki Humor... — Poki#3 My Talk Page :o, 21:57, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
