Judging |
Judging will hopefully commence this weekend (or if not the following weekend). Builds should be moved to the user space (to avoid the build wipe) and should be finalized.
Note: All elites were chosen because no builds, in favored, unfavored, tested, or stubs have ever been made with them. The purpose of this contest is to go where no one else has ever gone before and make people create good builds for skills which have never found their way into the multitude of builds found on GuildWiki. So, you have decided or are thinking about joining in my little contest. The rules are pretty simple, any number of people may sign up for an elite. For now, users may submit up to three builds (for the same elite or different elites). Builds will be judged on viability, creativity, style, and how well used your elite is in the given build. Bonus points (undetermined at this point) will be awarded if you decide to post the build you create and it is favored, however, builds which become unfavored may not be considered at all, so post at your own risk. Poorly written build pages may also detract from your score. A grading rubric will be produced sometime this week which will contain actual point amounts for each category. Builds may either be posted as untested/stubs or under user space. Either way, a link must be provided on this article's talk page. Obviously, the elite skill you sign up for must be used in the main skill bar and no variants may be suggested to replace it because it must be an integral part of your build. All builds will be judged only by me. However, other users will be allowed to leave comments about the build similar to what Gem did with the user box compeition. I will be the final arbiter, but others may comment. So, there will be a sign up period, then, the sign-ups will close and people will have a short interim period to get their build pages up and running. At this point, all builds will have their links posted on the talk-page and a section will be created in each of their discussion pages. This will be a section where people will be allowed to "vote". These votes may or may not have bearing on my final decision and will not count as actual votes towards any kind of actual build vetting as per GW:VETTING. In the case of builds which are actually put in untested for real and are actually tested according to GW:VETTING any real votes made on the page will be treated as comments for the purpose of this contest. (Language is a little convoluted up there. For rule/judging clarifications, leave a message on my talk-page) Builds may be entire teams, as well as any form of PvP or PvE. Note however, that if the build is a team build, be careful to ensure that the elite plays an integral role in the team, not just an elite to fill an empty slot in an existing team. Sign up will work like this. First, go on the user page and say which elite you are going to be using. Then, put your name next to the skill you would like to use (the skills will be listed below). Submissions from anonymous users will not be accepted. If any of these skills have been used before, or you find any other elites which have never been used, leave a note on the talk page and I will update the skill list. Good Luck! Skills:[ | ]Monk[ | ]
