I am going to use this page to track the progress of my characters in Guild Wars. Many thanks to Karalin Taucher for the inspiration (and coding) for the template.
Characters
Brother Fabian
Bio:
Brother Fabian is my most-played character (and named in honor of my first ever Guild Wars character). I am still learning how to play the Dervish and I enjoy creating fun skills bars that do not use an avatar as the elite skill. I plan to use Brother Fabian as my primary character for Eye of the North and so I have been saving money and materials to buy him new weapons and armor as soon as possible and maxing out my Balthazar faction to unlock new skills.
I load some version of this skill bar only if another human melee player is in the group. In those situations, I will usually float from the frontline to the backline picking up any enemies that break off from the main aggro. EDA works well to keep enemy melee blind and useless if they do manage to get to the softer targets in the back.
Memorable Moments:
Getting a max damage, require 10, +5 energy Furious Colossal Scimitar of Enchanting as a drop from the first Corsair I killed in my first time through the Dajkah Inlet challenge mission
Channeling with Paragons, Dragon Slash Warriors, Barrage Rangers or any sort of physical damage-based group
Weapon of Remedy Restoration
Spirit Light Weapon Restoration
Memorable Moments:
leveling from 14 to 18 in one hour from completing numerous Kaineng Center quests
getting a gold, +5 energy fellblade as a drop in Bukdek Byway
Beautiful Vengeance
Bio:
Beautiful Vengeance originally started out as a storage mule. When my first guild fell apart, there was a need in my usual group of friends for a melee character so I dusted her off and picked up an axe. I found I really enjoyed playing melee and stuck with her as my primary character for a long time, completing Prophecies, Factions, and most of Nightfall with her before she fell into disuse with the creation of Brother Fabian.
reaching level 20 for the first time with my brother in the Maguuma Jungle
defeating Glint and Rotwing on the same day
Furious Pilum
Bio:
Pilum is my favourite character and paragon is by far my favourite class in Guild Wars. He's just arrived in Vabbi and I rewarded him with Vabbian armor dyed purple+yellow+yellow. He's working his way toward Rank 2 of the Survivor title but I am doing my best to earn it legitimately by playing through the game rather than farming experience.
The Dwimmerlaik is a Canthan-born necromancer who I play primarily as a minion master, though I do also enjoy playing a SS-curses build. He is also my primary solo-farming character. I usually do a HM run through Wajjun Bazaar and/or Pongmei Valley with him once per day. His name is derived from a Lord of the Rings reference - it is a Rohirrim name for the Nazgul.
Getting 6 gold items, including a Platinum wand and a Rune of Superior Vigor, and a tattered fan in one farming run through Wajjun Bazaar
soloing Pongmei Valley in Hard Mode for the first time
Artemis Charrbane
Bio:
Artemis Charrbane is the oldest of my characters. He is a Prophecies-born Monk who specializes in Protection Prayers, though he can, if required, switch to the "make red bars go up" style of monking if required. He is well-equipped with a variety of staves, wands, off-hands, and other weapons. He is the first character for whom I bought "high-end" armor. He has capped all the monk elites available in the areas of the game he has explored and my goal is to cap all monk elites with him. My favourite thing to do in the game with Charrbane is monk for PUGs. Nothing beats the exhilaration of keeping a group alive and then receiving compliments from everyone and celebrating with a round of Hunter's Ale at the end of a tough mission.
Armor and Equipment:
Sunspear Scalp Design dyed silver and Kurzick Armor dyed white
Armando is my first Elona-born character. He is a lot of fun to play, especially when running with his 3 ranger heroes (Margrid, Jin, and Zenmai) and my brother's channeling ritualist. I hope the rangers get some better-looking armor in Eye of the North, because I do not like any ranger armor other than the FoW - which I am not wasting money on even with ecto prices being as low as they are now.
