Necro pic[ | ]

Just a quick question.. Where is that Necro picture taken? And just for the sake of thinking it needs saying. I lurve the userpage :) Torment 16:34, 11 June 2007 (CDT)

Thanks. :) It was taken at Wehhan Terraces (the picture with the golden Dwayna wings, I assume.) RoseOfKali 16:39, 11 June 2007 (CDT)
Yeah it is :D Thanks for that, theres a *best Pose* competition going on in my allaince site ;-) Thanks for that :D I'll go and get a pic taken now :D Torment 16:41, 11 June 2007 (CDT)
Hehe, good luck. Don't forget your "sponsor." (~_^) RoseOfKali 16:43, 11 June 2007 (CDT)
Ah ok then ;-) Pretty big statur to get in the pic :P I'm sure I'll get a good'n though :P Torment 16:44, 11 June 2007 (CDT)
Yeah, I made my character jump for that one, actually. RoseOfKali 16:45, 11 June 2007 (CDT)
Gathered :P I must be annoying - Im reapeatedly spamming /jump to try and get the perfect shot - which aint gonta happen >.< Torment 16:48, 11 June 2007 (CDT)

Armor Galleries[ | ]

Female Kurzick Necro- 1) Try to zoom in a little closer in the pics. It might take some fiddling to get it just right. 2) what are you using to save the images after you crop them? Because there does seem to be some loss of quality. But good job otherwise. — JediRogueSigRogue 16:48, 11 June 2007 (CDT)

I use MS Paint to crop them, don't really have better software, but might get a copy of Photoshop soon. If I do get it, I'll re-crop the images, I saved original files. I'm not really sure what you mean by zooming in closer, that's as close as I could get on max screen resolution (full screen shots). Do you just mean closer cropping? RoseOfKali 17:00, 11 June 2007 (CDT)
Also, I did the same thing for the Elite Luxon armor and was going to reload that gallery too, since there is some bad clipping in the current one. The current gallery has larger images, but the armor template doesn't really say anything about resolution/size, just about the 3:1 ratio. RoseOfKali 17:00, 11 June 2007 (CDT)

One more thing, I was going to tag the old gallery images for deletion on the Elite Kurzick, but the pages keep saying that the gallery still links to them, even though it doesn't. I'm confused. O_o I can give you the list of the images, if you like. RoseOfKali 17:00, 11 June 2007 (CDT)

Here they are:

Image:Kurzick_15K_F_Necro_Back_Arms_Legs.jpg|25px, Image:Kurzick_15K_F_Necro_Front_Arms_Legs.jpg|25px, Image:Kurzick_15K_F_Necro_Back_Chest_Feet.jpg|25px, Image:Kurzick_15K_F_Necro_Front_Chest_Feet.jpg|25px, Image:Kurzick_15K_F_Necro_Side.jpg|25px, Image:Kurzick_15K_F_Necro_Back.jpg|25px, Image:Kurzick_15K_F_Necro_Front.jpg|25px, Image:Kurzick_15k_F_Necro_Blue.jpg|70px,

I'm not sure why it says that. They aren't used but no amount of refreshing will confirm. You can flag them for deletion. As for zooming in, get your feet at the bottom of the frame. Then zoom in. You should be bigger and there shouldn't be as much background in the frame. Compair how zoomed in it is in other galleries. YOu might consider taking screens at a higher resolution so it looks bigger. As for the quality, it probably is Paint. If you can use a different picture editor, it might help. — JediRogueSigRogue 17:31, 11 June 2007 (CDT)
Simple the cache of those page don't updated because you hit refresh. You have to resave the page that use the inclusion to refresh the cache.—├ Aratak 18:04, 11 June 2007 (CDT)
Alright, that fixed it. I just resaved the page after adding a whitespace. Thanks, Aratak. I will tag the pics for deletion later, gotta go to work. RoseOfKali 18:10, 11 June 2007 (CDT)
Not even a hard refresh? QQ. Man you'd think I'd understand these things considering I just took networking last semester. — JediRogueSigRogue 18:12, 11 June 2007 (CDT)
The cache is sever side. You can do purge cache. You don't have to add anything. Just choose edit and save. It wont even appear in recent change but it will force the sever to recheck the inclusion.—├ Aratak 21:16, 11 June 2007 (CDT)
Oh, I see. As you can tell, I'm not a Comp Sci major. ^_^; Will know from now on. RoseOfKali 02:54, 12 June 2007 (CDT)

SOMEBODY HELP ME WITH MY SIG[ | ]

I'm trying to make a sig, and it's not working.... I used this in the custom sig box:

RoseOfKali -- which produced this:

RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG

Seems to work in normal text, but not when I use ~ ~ ~ ~ to sign my stuff, as in THIS happens ->>

RoseOfKali 04:48, 14 June 2007 (CDT)

Help?... Please?...

theres a box underneath the custom sig entry for 'raw signatures' which you want to check so that it is on. signatures automatically contain links for new accounts, but when customizing your signature you want this on (assuming you've linked everything yourself). lovely rose btw. hope it works --Fatigue` ( talk / contribs ) 04:55, 14 June 2007 (CDT)

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I interpreted that box as exactly the opposite, for some reason. ^_^ my bad. RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 04:58, 14 June 2007 (CDT)
hehe, no prob - i just had the exact same problem with mine. --Fatigue` ( talk / contribs ) 05:01, 14 June 2007 (CDT)

need to put copyright info on that image description page as well. -- Xeon 14:59, 8 July 2007 (CDT)

Huh? O_o RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG

Where did you find the image? give me the link, and I'll do it for you. Also, about your guild inquiry, perhaps they mispelt your name? Or maybe you are in an inactive guild still? Check by pressing g :). Readem (talk*contribs) 20:01, 26 July 2007 (CDT)

I guess you didn't read either thing carefully. About the image, I MADE it, there is no link. About the guild invite, I did say that I'm not in a guild, and how would 4 different people misspell my nave while inviting? It tells them if the invite was sent and if I'm online, and I think it warns if the player does not exist, or there would be quite a few 100's of gold spent on misspelled invites. This is really bizarre... RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 20:18, 26 July 2007 (CDT)
Hehe. you still have to say you made it on the image :P. Also, many people cannot spell worth shit :P. Like mua. Readem (talk*contribs) 16:40, 30 July 2007 (CDT)
Huh? It says user created artwork, created by uploader. O_O RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 16:42, 30 July 2007 (CDT)
Now it does :). I do not speak in the now. Readem (talk*contribs) 16:45, 30 July 2007 (CDT)
Ok, it just sounded like you did. RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 16:46, 30 July 2007 (CDT)

Thank you. :D RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 22:47, 19 September 2007 (CDT)
I saw you in the Central Transfer chamber once, but you were AFK :P (Also, I personally don't want ALL headgear to have "item's attribute +1" due to the fact that if you want a full set of vitae or attunement, you'd have to lose one for the head :P Most notibly, a build my ranger uses does not require any minor, major, or superior runes to work, and I prefer a full set of vitae instead, and changing this would make that silly, because I'd lose out on any attribute bonuses at all, and have to use in the very least a minor rune. That, or have it's attribute be the last used rune, allowing you to then change it.76.174.13.77 12:05, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
Hmm... Your case is very unique one, as I don't know anyone else who does not use a single attribute rune. :P RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 18:56, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

Your edit to User:Milkflopance's page[ | ]

What's the point of correcting it to American English when the user lives in England and uses standard English? --Kale Ironfist 00:25, 20 September 2007 (CDT)

I've always been told that that's a common misspelling, even had it marked off once somewhere. Didn't know it was actually British. That's what I get for being ESL. :P So I guess this is my kick that I asked for in the comment? :) (Except for the person delivering it). RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 00:37, 20 September 2007 (CDT)

Because that's when I don't care about minor edits. I use them otherwise, IF they are truly minor edits. What seems to be the problem you are referring to? RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 20:40, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
I noticed you were editing some images, quite some... you could've used the minor edit button.. But if you don't want to w/e. —ShadyGuy 20:42, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
I marked all of them for deletion. Is that minor? I never thought it was. I also uploaded a whole bunch. Is that minor also? I wouldn't know how to mark that as minor, then. Anything else? RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 20:44, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Armor Storage Zomgz![ | ]

I'm good, admit it, i am. I totally agree with that idea, my Ranger alone takes up a full page in storage, and all my other chars keep it in their inventory--Darksyde Never Again 18:51, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Developer Wishlist[ | ]

Really like a lot of the points you raised, there. +1 attribute headgear would be awesome; lots of people wouldn't have to go and buy entire new headgears just because they chose the wrong attribute the first time around. I also like the idea of truly being able to re-arrange stuff in the HoM... current system's clunky at best. Have you brought up any of these points on the Official Wiki? I know lots of others have been asking for the HoM update, but the armor headgear suggestion isn't something many people have brought up. I think Gaile has a suggestions page specifically for stuff like that. :D

...Oh, and your name's Halyna. I'm internet-savvy! And that's a pretty name. --GEO-logo Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 06:27, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. ^_^ Did you Google it? :P RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 06:30, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
That's quite possible. *Clears his google searchbar* --GEO-logo Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 06:37, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
Aw. (^_^) Now I'm curious. I didn't think they had a database of Chinese food delivery drivers with an Engineering degree and an MMO addiction (though, I play mostly for the RPG part). :P RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 06:43, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
I'm loathe to explain my entire process, because your last name's up there too. But it's not the Chinese food or the MMO addicted-ness that was the decided factor. :P --GEO-logo Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 07:00, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
Uh... UCCS graduating EE class of 2007? (Like a dozen Americans and then me with my funky unpronouncable name). :P Oh well, it's cool that you found it, however you did that. :) And I'm gonna look for that Gaile's suggestions page on the official wiki. RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 07:03, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
Indeed. You were also the only one in the correct section there, the name was simply a bonus. :) Hang on, let me check where Gaile's suggestions page is... *checks* ...found it. (that took longer to find then it may seem, but only because I got sidetracked my a grammar discussion.) Anyway, 'tis here. Didn't see anyone else with the same idea as you, either, which is a bit surprising, considering how much sense the change would make. --GEO-logo Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 07:12, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
...Oh, and one more note... if they did make a change of that type, I think it would be best to only affect newly created armors. There are plenty of people who have headgears with mismatched runes on them, and unintentionally screwing them over might be a side-effect of a widespread change of that type. Just my two cents. --GEO-logo Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 07:14, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
Hmm... I dunno if I'd like it on only newly created headgear, I'd really love to re-mod some of my old headgears I got long time ago (elite, so they're pricey, hence re-mod and not re-buy :P). Maybe just do it with newly-applied runes? and I mean how long does it take to switch that strength rune from your swords+1 helmet with the swordmanship rune on your boots? I don't think it would be that much of a hassle. RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 07:18, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
And heck, we're just talking about one attribute rank. Just how much can that screw somebody, really? RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 07:20, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
Hmm, that's true. If someone didn't have a rune on their headgeat at all, it can't do much harm to get a minor to put up there, can it. Gives them an extra point, at the very least. --GEO-logo Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 07:28, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
Yeah but as I said above, sure it gives you an extra point, but the only thing I would put it into is marks >.> +1-5 damage or +10 health, and being that was my ranger going for survivor, I opted for +10 health. And actually, when I fought Shiro Tagachi at the end of factions... >.> I ended up with 7 health left, so having that last vitae saved my life :P76.174.13.77 12:09, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
So, you don't have a Marks rune anywhere else on your body that you could swap with? That's rather weird... And it was rather.. gutsy to even try fighting Shiro without having finished Survivor first. RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 18:01, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

minis[ | ]

why are you changing the bg color from transparent to color for the minis? —JediRogue 08:49, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

Because on the mini pages that's what is used, at least in the first year series for now. Look at mini rurik and shiro, both are gold, charr was purple. It was not transparent on the wiki pages, it was showing up as white on the purple or gold or green background. RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 08:51, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
update your browser. transparent is better. thats why the images are pngs. —JediRogue 09:04, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
Uh... Huh? What do you mean transparent is better? It's not "transparent." True, it's transparent if I put it on Photoshop (that's how I changed the colors), but it was white on the Mini#Birthday_presents page. And what does updating my browser have to do with this? My browser is the same as millions of other users out there, so if it looks shitty to me, so it does to them. RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 09:09, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
Here's a list of what is still "white" on a colored background: Mini Djinn, Lich, Ghostly Hero, Black Moa Chick, Pig, Mallyx, Kunna, Varesh, Kannaxai, Yeti, Naga, Gray Giant, Asura, Vizu, Zhed, Shiro'ken, Destroyer, Grawl, Ceratadon. ALL of these look white on their respective backgrounds, and it looks like shit... RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 09:14, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
Even in fully updated Firefox, the Shiro'ken Assassin and Vizu look like white blocks, but the rest appear fine. So the first list was for IE, which seems to not apply the transparency at all. So why not make the backgrounds colored like they should be? No matter what you say, most average users use IE, so they see the same crap I've been seeing. They're just icons, not used anywhere else, except maybe some user pages, so there's no reason not to tailor them to the Mini page. RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 09:23, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
Something else is funked up about the icons, but I can't place what... for one, Prince Rurik has a gold background on IE, but a transparent background in Firefox. Shiro'ken and Vizu look messed up because they were uploaded that way; it's actually a light blue background, for some reason, so don't base anything off those images.
I'm going to run a few tests with images; some of them are transparent in IE, while others aren't. I think I can make them all match properly, providing I can figure out what the issue is (probably based on the tools available to whoever uploaded them originally). Also, to note, the ones you added backgrounds to are perfect in Firefox, but horribly mismatched in IE, so apparently that might not be a good option... --GEO-logo Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 12:23, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
Oh, and I've narrowed it down; all the icons uploaded by User:Smurf work perfectly, so Smurf holds the key to all of this. :P It's the other ones that don't work properly... --GEO-logo Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 12:27, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for looking into this. I've used this page a lot lately, and just got sick of how horrible it looked, but I'm not good with all this imaging stuff. Hopefully you and Smurf can figure it out. Thanks again. RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 17:23, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

You guys fail at the net. im actyuially using ie now and i just woke up soo yeah but i think transparency is better. !69.122.148.195 18:56, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

uh... something to do with armor?[ | ]

Kali, when you make a new article, upload it under the same name. that way, people can revert if they dont think the new picture is as good as the old one. --Warwick sig Warwick (Talk) (Contr.) 08:04, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
What are you referring to? The old name was messed up and I uploaded images to the new armor template rules, if you are referring to the recent Necromancer Elite Sunspear armor/Female page that I did. Otherwise, I don't know what you're talking about. Also, if you really really want to see the old pics for some reason, look in the page's history. The delete notices on the old pics point to the new pics, and it is up to the Admin to decide if the old ones are worth deleting or keeping. And start a new topic, unless this has something to do with the preceding "Minis" conversation, which really doesn't seem like it. RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 08:20, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
Ah right, sorry, wasnt really looking, you said you'd uploaded a new version of the armor head, and i thought that you should have re-uploaded it onto the same pagename, but now i look your one is >DYED<.. Note to self: Dont try to make sense of things when tired.. --Warwick sig Warwick (Talk) (Contr.) 08:27, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
I'm still not sure what you're talking about. :P But I'm also tired. When you try to question specific things, please, post a link to the page in question. Thanks. RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 08:29, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
If you are talking about Necromancer_headgear#Nightfall_Campaign_Elite_headgear_art, the reason I used dyed Elite Sunspear image is bacause undyed hardly shows on light skin, and this page is a reference to scar shapes. You can go to the respective armor set page to see undyed/dyed differences. RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 08:41, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

You use the latter. There is no set naming convention for the archive, just have a link to it on your main talk page. You can see my talk page for examples of archives.--Marcopolo47 signature new (Talk) (Contr.) 11:55, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

>.> I've finally realized how I keep deleting the darn thing, I move it into storage on accident, and must have "deleted" it, by moving my mesmer, assassin, and/or monk's stuff into storage before I delete them. (I happen to be working on all their legendary survivors at once, and also deleted a few characters because I simply didn't like them. So... it's not a "selling" problem, because I tried that, and yeah it does make you "confirm" wether you want to sell or not, I'm just stupid and move it onto characters I don't like before I delete them. 76.174.39.191 02:39, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Help[ | ]

If you want to help that is great! Use the format that is used on my other skill icon pages (they go in order from the skills list on guildwiki). I cropped all the images at 247 x 248, as the images are a pixel or 2 taller than wide. Crop the image and avoid the borders. This is the link to download the images. They come on cards, and it would be easier to crop if zoomed in 2x. Saving/uploading them as jpg/jpeg is preferred on wiki. Help is highly appreciated :). Also make sure you use this tag

Fansite kit image

when uploading the images. Thanks :) ! (You might also want to save/upload the images as your username (or part of it) followed by a - then the skill name. For example, Image:RoseOfKali-Strip_Enchantment.jpg ) --Lann-sf2 Lann 21:34, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Once I'm done posting Necro Female Monument gallery, I will work on Necromancer, and then Ele icons. Thanks. RoseOfKali RoseOfKaliSIG 23:23, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
