Hello, I've just noticed you've gone through a couple of the articles on Awakened and removed the "(Elite)" I'd put next to all the elite skills on their skill lists. Now I don't personally really see that much point to marking the elites as the gold border of the icon does that, but I put it in because as far as I could see this is what GuildWiki:Style_and_formatting/NPCs said should be done (see "Mark elite skills or monster skills as necessary"). Does the formatting guide need updating? Surreality 22:29, 15 December 2006 (CST)

E/any Prodigy Nuker

Forgive me if this is the wrong place to mention it but you deleted the Unfavored build "E/any Prodigy Nuker" because "relivant info Merged into E/Me Heavy Nuker" however I cannot spot any mention of Ether Prodigy on either the build page or the discussion page. Thanks --JP 11:15, 29 August 2006 (CDT)

It appears that you are correct. I took the word of the person who put the delete notice in that the data was merged, but looking at the E/Me Heavy Nuker page it does not appear that anthing was added to that page around the time the delete notice went up. The page has been restored. Thanks for catching this. --Rainith 21:31, 29 August 2006 (CDT)

Talk:E/Mo Defensive Flag#Delete

Recheck the discussion. No one besides Rapta or me seems to care much, so could you make a decision about deletion? Obviously I can't since I'm involved. Or ask us for more info if you think it's needed. (Or get another admin to do it if you don't want to, heh.) --Fyren 07:56, 30 August 2006 (CDT)

I'll re-read through the discussion(s) and the build tonight when I get home. I don't think that I can give it the attention it needs here at work. --Rainith 11:13, 30 August 2006 (CDT)
I have attempted to combine this build with the E/Mo Air Support Caster build here. I freely admit that I have limited E/Mo and PvP experience and no GvG experience. Therefor, I may have completely screwed something up here. Comments/thoughts appreciated. --Rainith 22:08, 31 August 2006 (CDT)
Ha ha I was your edit to User:Rainith/Test and I was just about to ask if you were flagging for you guild! --Xasxas256 22:39, 31 August 2006 (CDT)
There, hope that note helps. :P --Rainith 23:03, 31 August 2006 (CDT)
I don't like Heal Other, you spend a lot of time by yourself when you're flagging and Heal Other obviously can't be used on yourself! --Xasxas256 23:14, 31 August 2006 (CDT)
Try contributing to the discussion in Talk:E/Mo Defensive Flag.  :) I did no original work, I just tried to merge the two articles in a way that would preserve the main points of both. --Rainith 23:17, 31 August 2006 (CDT)

Talk:Vampire

I am going to attempt to throw a page together for Vampire (the species). I noticed the talk page already existed but it's all related to an old build that I believe you deleted. I was wondering if you knew how the existing discussion should be handled--archived, deleted/blanked, etc. As it won't pertain to the new Vampire page it would be kinda out of place. —Vendetta411 10:39, 19 September 2006 (CDT)

Ok, I moved it out of the way for you. --Karlos 10:57, 19 September 2006 (CDT)
Thank you :) —Vendetta411 11:20, 19 September 2006 (CDT)

del

Heya mate, it looks like you're online atm, could you do us a favor and delete W/N Plague Thumper‎? It was moved into the users talk page so he/she could tidy it up which has been done but I can't move it back because the old article still exists. Thanks. --Xasxas256 21:50, 26 September 2006 (CDT)

It looks like it someone beat me to it, but I don't see the usual history link that Admin's get on deleted articles, so I'm not sure. Is that the right link you posted, or am I just missing something obvious?  ;) --Rainith 21:52, 26 September 2006 (CDT)
I just deleted it and the talk page at W/N Plague Thumper (not via Xasxas' link - I have no idea why - but his link is a different destination than mine). --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 22:07, 26 September 2006 (CDT)
Edit - now I see ... XasXas' link has some extra hidden characters at the end ... they aren't visible, but they are part of the page name when you follow his link - although I'm not sure how those characters got into his link in the first place ... hmmm ... --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 22:11, 26 September 2006 (CDT)
Weird. But thanks for deleting it (thought I was going crazy there for a minute).  :) --Rainith 22:13, 26 September 2006 (CDT)
Yeah sorry about that, I'm not sure why that happened. Anyway thanks for getting to it so quickly and doing the move for me too ;) Oh and Xas is fine, save yourself some effort, no need for extra characters on the end :P --Xasxas256 22:32, 26 September 2006 (CDT)

The titan's name

I think you need some new items for your "to do list" ;). The titan's name at the end of Abaddon's Mouth is simply "Titan" (can provide a screenshot if necessary). --84-175 (talk) 04:19, 1 October 2006 (CDT)

True, but he is essentially the same as a Burning Titan (except for the spawning of a new titan) -- Ifer (t/c) 04:29, 1 October 2006 (CDT)
On second thought, Burning titans attack.. -- Ifer (t/c) 04:32, 1 October 2006 (CDT)
That wasn't the point. We wanted to know what it's name is there. For example, if you haven't noticed, the Lich Lord has a few different names, depending on where you see him. --Gem-icon-sm (talk) 04:33, 1 October 2006 (CDT)
Crap, we really should have a page for this Titan then. It has its own name and is considerably different from other Burning Titans (other than its graphic).
Oh and thanks for checking that 84-175.  :) There has been at least one skill rebalance since I last went through that mission and I was having some issues the few times I tried it after putting that note up there.  :( --Rainith 23:32, 3 October 2006 (CDT)

Hells

My bad with the pizza revert on Hells Precipice. I thought I reverted it and I know it went through. *shrugs* Appreciate the backup. :D — Gares 12:14, 12 October 2006 (CDT)

No problem. I just saw it hadn't been un-pizza'd so I took care of it. You did most of the legwork for this guy.  :) --Rainith 16:02, 12 October 2006 (CDT)

Hey!

How come you and Barek got to the party but not me :( What does it take? These guys are like a mile from my house! --Karlos 11:15, 18 October 2006 (CDT)

I was hoping to catch you in game, but I'm guessing you've got other stuff to do tonight. Essentially I entered the contest and won (again, I won for the Factions event too). Yell at me in game next time you see me.  :) --Rainith 22:30, 18 October 2006 (CDT)
Dude, you are away 24/7 on those rings.. :) --Karlos 22:57, 22 October 2006 (CDT)
Well, I's like to use the 100 plat worth of tickets that I bought. :P --Rainith 23:01, 22 October 2006 (CDT)

"I'm using Power Block on Lamees Ghaznawi(3)!"-Onlyashadow, Top 100 Guild 12:03, 24 October 2006 (CDT)

Nice. I wish I could go. Then again, I was in on the conference call with 'em about wiki integration, so at least I've got something. :) —Tanaric 12:52, 24 October 2006 (CDT)
Yeah, it isn't the Support team like you wanted though.  ;) I probably won't go, with the time I get off work and traffic, I'd probably get there right around 5pm, then I'd have to make my way home from there in even more traffic. *shudder* --Rainith 14:28, 24 October 2006 (CDT)

call in sick :S -Onlyashadow, Top 100 Guild 14:29, 24 October 2006 (CDT)

Halp!

Image:Gw203.jpg I don't know how to move/rename images, and I assume there is a way to do that, that is easier than uploading 2 versions and then deleting the old one. Anyway, could you let me know which I should do in the future and take a look at the page if you have the time! Kthx! :) - BeXoR Bexor 04:48, 19 November 2006 (CST)

Done - you just have to save it to your computer (which you obviously had done) and simply upload to the correct filename :) — User:Kyrasantae kyrasantae 04:50, 19 November 2006 (CST)
And then would I put del tag on the old one? I'm recropping other peoples' piccies and this is the first one I've found with the wrong name. :S TY for fixing it. :) - BeXoR Bexor 04:51, 19 November 2006 (CST)
Unfortunately there is no way to move/rename images (oh how I wish there was). Looks like kyrasantae fixed it. And yes, put a delete tag on the old one, with a link to the new image that you've replaced it with. How many edit conflicts am I gonna get here trying to respond. ;) --Rainith 04:53, 19 November 2006 (CST)
Just one :) — User:Kyrasantae kyrasantae 04:54, 19 November 2006 (CST)
I got three! :D Thx for the help both of you. :) - BeXoR Bexor 04:54, 19 November 2006 (CST)

Revert War

Could you please review the reverts made by this user User:Aska. Riktund's Maul, Image:Riktund's Maul.jpg (clearly a better image) Image:Riktund's Maul.JPG (their image, which doesn't follow the guidelines for weapon screenshots nor naming conventions). I have told them on their talk page to stop reverting, but they blanked it and changed the article again. - BeXoR Bexor 16:15, 19 November 2006 (CST)

I agree that the image you are talking about is better than that person's image. From what I can see they believe that since they put it there first, they get to decide what goes there. I tried (with my high school French and Babelfish) to explain to them that that isn't the way things work here, we want the best image, not the first image uploaded. I'm headed to sleep now, if something else pops up, try to catch one of the other admins. --Rainith 16:31, 19 November 2006 (CST)
Ya I figured that was why he was doing it. I directed him to the image policy but apparently he didn't read it and didn't like the suugestion. :P Thx again. - BeXoR Bexor 16:54, 19 November 2006 (CST)

Thanx Rainith

Thanx for the help earlier i feel better nowing itll b resolved,Naf 9:47 CST i believe thats central right??

No problem.  :) To get you sig inserted automatically just type in ~~~~ or click on the second button from the right with the little squigle on in above the edit box. --Rainith 00:46, 23 November 2006 (CST)

Um also i hate to ask people things and im probably being unecesarily needy but im trying to upload files for wiki (i have male anceint armor, also getting some for my user page) but its too large when i try to make it smaller its corupt thanx AGAIN :) Naf (: 01:21, 23 November 2006 (CST)

You will need to use some sort of graphics editing program (see the bottom of GW:IMAGE for free suggestions) to change the file to jpeg format. That will cut the size down considerably. --Rainith 01:38, 23 November 2006 (CST)

Check this out

You and me like doing tedious research in game ;) When you get bored, see if you can solve this bug, Talk:Ensign_Lumi. I can't find him in any of the locations I found him at now. — Gares 18:50, 30 November 2006 (CST)

Trying

You told me to change the name, but i dont know how to do that? I'm new and need help. Someone help me. --Engroth 22:31, 30 November 2006 (CST)

You actually just need to Upload the file again but use a different file name ;) --Xasxas256 22:35, 30 November 2006 (CST)
No problem.  :) Go ahead and edit the article that you would like to add your map to and put this in there: . Also I'd recommend checking out the GuildWiki:Editing guide and if you have more questions on images, the GuildWiki:Image use policy might be helpful.  :) --Rainith 22:40, 30 November 2006 (CST)
Ah and edit conflict with our newest Admin.... :P --Rainith 22:40, 30 November 2006 (CST)
It's ok, I clicked on the wrong thing first and started to protect the page :P That would have solved the problem of edit conflicts! --Xasxas256 22:59, 30 November 2006 (CST)
Not for you and me it wouldn't. :P You cant protect anything from me. MUWHAHAHAHAHA  ;) --Rainith 23:04, 30 November 2006 (CST)
I don't know what to say to that except...Show off! Actually being a new admin is kinda cool, it's nice to be a newbie again! --Xasxas256 23:36, 30 November 2006 (CST)

Explorable Areas

I'd like your opinion for a S&F template I created for Explorable Areas. Thanks. — Gares 14:58, 6 December 2006 (CST)

Stubs

According to Wikipedia:Wikipedia:Stub: By convention, these stub templates should be placed near the bottom of the article. Because the stub identification is rendered on an article page prior to hardcoded items like categories and inter-Wiki language links, the template is usually placed at the end of the article proper, after the External links section if it exists, but before categories or inter-Wiki links. However, since the stub category is the least important of the article's categories, some Wikipedians prefer to place the template after the category tags, so that the stub category will appear last.

Unless GuildWiki has established a different standard, stubs should be on the bottom, as it is not part of the article proper and should go after the content rather than before. --Scottie theNerd 00:51, 9 December 2006 (CST)

Please see We are not Wikipedia and the Style and formatting pages. --Rainith 00:53, 9 December 2006 (CST)
Thank you for clearing that up, though it is a bit ironic: "it is bad form to link a Wikipedia policy article in support of any action, even if that policy is the same as one traditionally held by the GuildWiki". The stub template does just that. Intentional, or a matter of convenience? --Scottie theNerd 00:56, 9 December 2006 (CST)
Most likely a matter of age. I'm guessing the original stub template was one of the earliest articles created, and linked to wikipedia as there was nothing here that described stubs in anyway. I'm not sure, it was like that when I got here. ;) --Rainith 00:59, 9 December 2006 (CST)
I think we should do something about it then =). A specific GuildWiki stub article would be more useful to us. --Scottie theNerd 01:03, 9 December 2006 (CST)
I wasn't here at the time, but I remember reading that when GuildWiki was first setup, many of the guidelines linked over to Wikipedia, just out of convenience for a newly created Wiki - just as a simple means to get the site functional while our own guidelines were being devised. There was an effort a few months back to purge many of the links to WikiPedia guidelines and to create our own here for those that were needed. This one was likely just missed in that cleanup effort. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 10:23, 9 December 2006 (CST)

Elite Marker in Skill Lists

Hello, I've just noticed you've gone through a couple of the articles on Awakened and removed the "(Elite)" I'd put next to all the elite skills on their skill lists. Now I don't personally really see that much point to marking the elites as the gold border of the icon does that, but I put it in because as far as I could see this is what GuildWiki:Style_and_formatting/NPCs said should be done (see "Mark elite skills or monster skills as necessary"). Does the formatting guide need updating? Surreality 22:29, 15 December 2006 (CST)

Monsters fall under the bestiary S&F. Only mark elites of bosses. --Fyren 22:32, 15 December 2006 (CST)
Ahh sorry that makes sense. The marker is just to draw attention to potential caps? Surreality 22:54, 15 December 2006 (CST)

Why did you revert the edits to GuildWiki:Editing guide I made? I wasn't "testing things out" as you seem to think. Korolen 22:47, 15 December 2006 (CST)
