Black Dye Drops[edit source]

It's been months literally since I last had or even saw a black dye drop, and in Cantha I haven't ever seen a black dye drop! Is it just me that's finding this? I no that black dye drops are rare but personally I blame the ever increasing amount of rune drops! -- Monk Saintly Monk 16:33, 29 July 2006 (CDT)

I have only had 1 black dye drop for me during my time with GW, so I can't really say I'm getting less now than before. ;) (Okay I also got 2 of them in pre-searing with my first character and sold them to the merchant. I'm stil trying to forget that one.) --Gem-icon-sm.png (talk) 14:00, 27 July 2006 (CDT)
I know how you feel. I only recently got one after many long long weeks/months without any. I haven't gotten any in Cantha (I've gotten a total of 4 or 5; seen about 10-15 drop) but I think you simply have to slaughter monsters by the thousands to get one...maybe. I wish GW had a counter for number of monsters slain. --Vortexsam 03:26, 31 July 2006 (CDT)
If only :). A monster counter would be really useful. It could also help you if you're looking for rare drops. Isn't it, if you farm in one place for so long you eventually get a very low chance of getting a rare drop or something along those lines? -- Monk Saintly Monk 04:18, 31 July 2006 (CDT)
It's a temporary thing if you farm the same area repeadely many times. You get a message on your screen saying that drops are seriously nerfed. Just have a long break to reset the drops. --Gem-icon-sm.png (talk) 02:56, 4 August 2006 (CDT)

ELE, Virtual levels[edit source]

any ideas on how to calculate that? --Honorable Sarah Honorable Icon.gif 12:49, 30 July 2006 (CDT)

No, and as I can't find any site with a guide (not even guru) to working it out, I'm going to do it myself! You would have thought that someone by now would have done a level experience guide lol! -- Monk Saintly Monk 02:54, 31 July 2006 (CDT)
See the bottom of Experience. A little math/algebra and you can figure out your "virtual level". --Vortexsam 03:28, 31 July 2006 (CDT)
There you go then! No need for me to do anything :) ! Just use the little method at the very bottom of the page for finding your level. -- Monk Saintly Monk 04:14, 31 July 2006 (CDT)
for reference, the formula is (Xp + 162400)/15000 = Virtual level, round down. --Honorable Sarah Honorable Icon.gif 17:46, 3 August 2006 (CDT)

Cool, I'll stick it on me user page :), cheers. -- Monk Saintly Monk 03:23, 4 August 2006 (CDT)
