Oswalt Alston is a ghost haunting his own grave. Oswalt and his wife Elsa were amongst the Ascalon refugees that chose to follow Prince Rurik across the Shiverpeak Mountains to seek a new life in Kryta. On the way to Yak's Bend, they were cornered by a Hydra. Oswalt bravely sacrificed his life to distract the Hydra, while the rest of the party hurried away to safety.
