Notes[edit | edit source]

A full-grown Rainbow Phoenix
  • The Rainbow Phoenix will only appear in the Hall of Monuments when the following conditions are met:
    • No one else is in your party, including heroes and henchmen.
    • All four tapestries have been displayed.
    • One of the following:
      • The character has achieved the rank of "People Know Me (2)" in the Kind Of A Big Deal title track.
      • The character has achieved the rank of "Kind Of A Big Deal (1)" in the Kind Of A Big Deal title track and has a "full" Hall of Monuments in personal or account-wide view.
  • After being unlocked, the Rainbow Phoenix will only appear in the Zaishen Menagerie Grounds if no one else is in your party.
  • The Rainbow Phoenix is the largest pet available in Guild Wars. For this reason, it is sometimes preferred in PvP over other pets, as it can be distracting.
  • This is the only pet that cannot be death leveled or charmed by a hero, because it only appears when the player is alone and in areas without resurrection shrines.
  • The Rainbow Phoenix deals piercing damage.
  • The Rainbow Phoenix is one of four pets that appear to fly when they move.
Anomaly.png Anomaly! The Rainbow Phoenix's attacks are hugely out of sync with its attack animation. It usually strikes the opponent after completely swooping back from an attack.
Historical note.png Historical note: For a short time after the 4th Anniversary Update that introduced the Zaishen Menagerie, there was a bug that made it possible for heroes to charm this pet. The bug was quickly fixed, and all Rainbow Phoenixes on heroes were removed.
