What does this skill even do? As far as I can tell, it's something to initiate dazed on (concussion shot or skull crack). --8765 15:57, 9 December 2006 (CST)

Basically it captures a soul. Once you kill the Dryder, all of the souls it captured are released. Personally I think its just for show...due to the fact that if you wait for 5 hours...then kill one it will only release 1-3 of them. - Smoke Trap Entice789 (Talk | Contributions)
It is nice to know that this skill is easily interruptable, but the more important fact is that while performing this skill it is not aggresive to you, which gives you 30 full seconds to ressurect fallen party members (if worst comes to worst and youre the only one left), run back, recover, wait until it activates it again, and repeat Wyvern Afini 20:50, 17 December 2006 (CST)
Does anyone else think that maybe there should be a note saying that this skill is easily interruptable?

Does anyone else think this takes way less than 30 seconds to cast? 75.45.191.186 16:27, 10 January 2007 (CST)

The Torturewebs who use it are bosses and cast twice as fast. BigAstro 16:32, 10 January 2007 (CST)
for the note above, its not easily interruptible, is it? 06:39, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
I believe they were simply referring to the fact that it casts in 15 seconds and the monster is completely defenseless during casting. Hence "easy to interrupt". I don't think this skill was ever like Traps, with "This skill is easily interrupted." Entropy Sig (T/C) 06:42, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Possibly changed

When doing Gate of Madness the other night, I discovered that any type of attack used against a Tortureweb Dryder during Soul Torture would end the skill. I'm not sure if it's interrupted or if it simply ends, but upon being hit the Torturewebs would always immediately begin casting a normal spell. -Felix Omni 10:24, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

It may be an AI change: the Dryder realizes that it's using a useless skill and is being attacked, so it switches to doing something more productive, like killing your party. That's what I would do if I were using a 15 second cast skill with no effect on the game and came under attack, at least. - Leopoldus von Habsburg-Lorraine 03:01, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
Does monster AI even think like that? --Warwick sig Warwick (Talk)/(Contr.) 12:37, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
